Thank you Stephen! We need more professionals like you in this world!
Scully, i love your content! The other day i broke my 5k PB by almost 40 sec (18:44 to 18:07) and part of the reason for that was the knowledge i gained from your vids ! Good stuff!
Good job!
Impactful. Well done I'm your milestones. Keep at it and be easy on yourself and remember to keep happy.
I watched this on the treadmill today. I was planning to run for 30 minutes, but this was almost 50 minutes long so I ran for 50 minutes. What was interesting was that you well just having a discussion about running and it was enough to keep me running. Also Larry needs to be on more videos.
Haha Larry doesn’t travel, and Larry has an identical brother Leo that Katie robbed. That’s why he doesn’t travel
I just love this conversation. There is more going on that anyone is aware of.
I still get a great sense of satisfaction from completing foam rolling sessions, strength training, and mobility work. The hardest part is just getting that mindset started.
Edit: I made this comment fairly early on into the video, but regarding the ending of this video; I promise you are making people happier and more confident in themselves (as well as faster). The physiological and psychological lessons you share impact more people than you can even imagine. So glad being a TH-camr became so much more than just marketing for your class, although I’m thankful for that too, haha.
I love these videos. They inspire me to be a better runner and a better person. Stephen’s passion, compassion, and honesty are contagious. I watch these videos in the evening while I do my foam rolling and it feels like sitting down with an old friend.
How do have only 31k members, this channel is AWESOME, AMAZING. Thank you for all the info.
It’s growing
I find stretching with my rear knee elivated and my torso bent horizontally over my front knee. Front knee pushed in by hand. Front leg's toes elivated with a bottle or something placed on the ground. Thanks for another great video!
I am curious to know at what cost (in $ or £) is physiotherapy? I started running 🏃♀️ two years ago, and i that time,I have never done physiotherapy, fome rolling, or massage. I am now 66 years old.
These videos have been a great source of info and motivation. I went through cancer myself 6 years ago, and it's been a wild ride to say the least, but going from that to now being in a place mentally and physically to train for my first marathon is something I am extremely grateful for. I'm truly appreciative for the candid and reflective insights you have provided, and I'm defintely a more focused and better runner thanks to you.
I could right a paragraph about this video but you’re an inspiration in so many ways…Thank you sir
💯 per cent a Champion, good prestige never leaves prestige.
Take care Stephen.
I like how WHAT was capitalized and not SHOULD. I see what you did there. One of the best no bs channels for runners out there.
For me the running is definitely the easy part. Everything else that you have to do to be a phenomenal runner is the harder part. Diet/nutrition, full sleep, squared away strength training routine, etc. Managed with a life outside of running. If it were easy we’d all be sprinting to and from work like it was nothing.
One thing I have found works great to counteract chair posture is swinging a steel mace. Helps with shoulder mobility, core strength, and opening the chest.
Also, reduce the problem with a sit-stand desk...
5:50 I love that you talked about the psychological part too! ❤
My best friend just went through cancer as well. That last part resonated with me sooo much.
Hope they’re ok. Yes we can all learn
Your running chanel is the best on TH-cam. You share your experiences and knowledge unreservedly, this can be extremely helpful to runners no matter what levels they are. Thank you so much, keep up the amazing work.
Nice work man!
A lot of useful information. Thank You
You are simply amazing!!! I needed to hear this today ❤️. I wish you all the, best
It's so tough for me to do things outside of running even though I really would like to and even plan on it (strength training, mobility, etc.) because of two reasons: time constraints or lack of energy before/after my run
As a college graduate student I'm very used to just sitting a lot and then getting up/running right away whenever I get the chance, but I feel like I'm doing myself a disservice
Your content has motivated me to put in daily reps to fix my anterior pelvic tilt by strengthening hamstrings and glutes, or rolling my quads and doing couch stretches. Better form = faster times
These videos have been so helpful for me training for my first marathon thanks so much love the lion 🦁
Thanks Stephen for this video: it goes way beyond running! It is so inspiring and I think it’s so brave of you to be so honest and open about yourself! #Respect
love your content, man and also love how your eyes lit up when you talk about helping others. keep it up, lad! cheers!
Best video yet.
Good stuff brother!
Amazing Videos Stephen. Would you look at someone’s Training Peaks and give advice? Anyway, you are the man!
Another amazing vid in the bag! 👏🙋♂️
You’re the man Stephen! Thanks for really pouring your heart here in these TH-cam posts. You definitely help make it so much easier to get through the training journey especially when things don’t go as planned.
Helpful and very motivational . Thanks a lot man!
This is great! Thank You
Great video as usual. Keep doing it, you are so real, great human being. Can I give you a hug?👨❤️💋👨
Great stuff, thanks.
Really enjoyed this video today, very motivational and great tips!

Good one this👊🏻
Derry 10 miler next Saturday lad 👍
What is the story with your accent?! Belfast via New York, with time spent in Cork and Liverpool? X
There is so much more to learn that is truly out of awareness.
Looking forward to watching this one, I think you've mentioned ADHD before Stephen, any impact this has on your running? Do you have stimulants medication? (Chances are this gets answered in the video haha)
Playing on the Lion phrases with my username too 🦁
He goes quite far into the ADHD in the masterclass under psychology. Go have a look :-)
Do you run first or strength work on legs first?
Could you link the stuff you talked about?

@@stephenscullion262 cheers. You gonna be about anywhere in belfast this weekend

Hold up, why can't you say the saying "kill two birds with one stone"?
🫶🏼
hate this Dog civilization NOT yourself
Kill two birds with one stone. There ya go.
Haha Stanford wouldn’t like that
Love all your advice but I dont do pagan yoga
Two pigeons with one stone...
Two pigeons with one stone...
Two pigeons with one stone...
Two pigeons with one stone...
Two pigeons with one stone...
Two pigeons with one stone...
Two pigeons with one stone...
Maybe that is what's missing in your master school i.e. how to be a man. Imagine how stronger you'd become. Not joking, time to grow out of the "snowflakery", see above, it'll make you better.
This all good but when you have kids and a full time job you can’t fit all this in you could be out of the house for 10 hours a day .I love the TH-cam videos but I think you don’t realise all the other things people have on in their life .
With the utmost respect, if your current situation isn’t working, go back to the drawing board to see what needs to change, because you have the power to change it. We have four young kids, own a small business, and homeschool. I am currently training for a marathon in 2 months, and then a 50 mile race after that. We made some changes in our lives to make room for training because it was very important to us. As he says, you have to maximize time. If it’s high enough on your priority list, you’ll cut out the things that don’t fit in that goal. Maybe a change of job/work situation can help, maybe the kids can train with you for a portion to make it fun family time. Hard decisions may need to be made but you can do it!
If it's important to you you'll find a way to fit it in. tweak things here and there to make it work for your personal lifestyle.
I have a full time job and kids job and I fit a lot in. The secret for me is getting to bed early and getting up early and getting runs in before the kids get up or my other half needs to go to work. I also have gym kit at home and split my S&C into 3 half hour blocks I fit into the day 3 times a week at home.
