No argument here...their 1994 performance of this on Conan (here on TH-cam) is just stellar. What impeccable songwriting. Just beautiful and touching...
Don't limit yourself to Canada.....they can go up against anyone....Five Days in July is one of my go-to listens....always puts me in a great mood......I always thought if I was going to be in a band, this is the one I want to be in the most.....can't get enough!!
Best concert of my life was the same place but was the Molson amphitheatre, Ontario Place.. 2005. Never heard that many thousands sing so loud you couldn't hear yourself sing. I've been to at least 100 concerts. The best live band ever !
I absolutely love this!!! The tempo seems a little iffy, but maybe it's my imagination. And it looks like GK is chewing gum while he is singing? Now that is talent!!
Who do you know? I am not good with word's that start with names ! All my life people been sauying to me "DO YOU KNOW WHO I KNOW? nope ! "YOU KNOW WHO I AM " never crossed my mind FORGET YOU ! that is how you start with me ! Step the other way ! ADX8🐺🤝🤯👉💯
i met the dude playing the mandilin when they did a new years eve gig in barrie ontario. he pulled up in a late 60s or early 70s caddy and i said what engine you got a 500 he replied no a 472. i shoulda known that. i had no idea who he was when i saw him
That drummer just draaaaaaged the tempo. By the second chorus you can hear the Uke and Singer try to fight it. Take off your bloody metronome hearing aid and play the constant, holy crap!
I'd like to put the blame on monitors, but, hear how he keeps dragging the tempo in to the chorus forcing everyone to backup. Cant beleive in saying this, as a drummer, but that's all on him :/
Sean Pankiw he’s not dragging, he’s playing to a click, and the rest of the band wants to pull ahead. This is a slow tempo for this song. Feels unnatural.
doesn't get any better than this. One of Canada's best bands ever
That’s right!
I myself can’t get enough of this song. Yes, it gets me to the soul. I don’t know why. But I love it!!!

Pardon my French, but man this is just fucking excellent music! The fact it's Canadian is even more special.
.A Shout out to "Lake Ontario"! Still one of my fav Blue Rodeo song.
To this day Blue Rodeo is my favorite band..hands down. Saw them play so many times with always a fantastic show..We need a Blue Rodeo day!!
I have seen them meny times to most of the time at the Buwisre Stage in Toronto twice in New Glasgow Nova Scotia with my Brother's and cousins
In the great tapestry of the Canadian quilt that is rock n roll this is the corner that I keep tight around my neck on cold nights
Wow, what a terrific performance!
Sounds even better in 2023👍

Sensacional 🎉
I'm glad he gave the drummer that dirty look 1:26. ..... cause it was a long ride until that song drops!!! then it gets epic again!!

Amazing.
I absolutely love this!!! The tempo seems a little iffy, but maybe it's my imagination. And it looks like GK is chewing gum while he is singing? Now that is talent!!
Life goals: Learn to play guitar, and become Greg Keelor.
I got the guitar and beard down, now i just gotta wait for it to turn white!

Did security at ottawas blues fest for Blue Rodeo
i met the dude playing the mandilin when they did a new years eve gig in barrie ontario. he pulled up in a late 60s or early 70s caddy and i said what engine you got a 500 he replied no a 472. i shoulda known that. i had no idea who he was when i saw him
When they did this song on Conan O'Brien back in the day, the gods took notice!
Raymo.🌟
hey thats not french. love this song
Not bad after all these years...
Fantastic! Thanks guys. You were the first band I saw in a bar. I was 16. First time I danced with large breasted women. What great memories.
Jimmy cuddys ..mom...was my nieces teacher in toronto....
Omg they been around since 1958 as the hi-fi's
❤👍👍👌
Is the whole show available on video anywhere?
No, sorry.
Ok
Drummer's timing way off in the beginning...watch others look at him..
It struck me more as the drummer trying to keep the tempo reined in while Keelor is ramping it way up.
he's lost, can't find 1
bet my bottom dollar that there's a click track involved, and it's fucking with his head
I’ve seen them live a
Few time. He keeps them together exceptionally well. Sometimes they are like hearding kittens.
Glenn Milchem is one of the best.
Why the dude sitting on the toilet seat?
That drummer just draaaaaaged the tempo. By the second chorus you can hear the Uke and Singer try to fight it.
Take off your bloody metronome hearing aid and play the constant, holy crap!
Perhaps you don’t know what a metronome does.
Fire......years later, must be a Canadian group. .......
0pppo
It's just bad timing, that's all.
Maybe they had no monitors set up.
I'd like to put the blame on monitors, but, hear how he keeps dragging the tempo in to the chorus forcing everyone to backup.

A better with time...wtf boys
