@@locodesert2 I agree I think more the combos should have been unlocked from the start so the players can get a taste of this action and also I really enjoy the platforming of the night stages just as much as the combat. My vision of the perfect night stage would be the SD stages + HD playstyle.
I feel like some moves in sonic frontiers last too long compared to this game, some moves work right away like the projectiles and stomp, but some other moves like spin slash and wild rush feel like pacebreakers
As a former Sonic Unleashed fanboy, now enthusiast, I must say the Werehog has always been this complex in gameplay and style. Certainly, pacing and enemy AI need some improvements, but the gameplay style is still a wonderful thing to experience. I wouldn't consider it a knock-off of DMC or GOW, but rather a part of their respective genres of score-based action combat. And the same applies for Sonic Frontiers, even if it does have less combos, which is given some light by its enemies. Both combat styles are good, and it takes a nice user to learn the abilities.
1:40 I remember mashing the crap out of this move and straight up losing it because of how inadvertently stupid it looks mashing the life out of the enemies
yeah it is. frontiers could have better combat if the made the moves a lot faster and snappier, while making them have different effects on enimies and giving them different uses, and added more moves it could have been better
Ever since I played the PS3 version of this game I loved the Werehog, it has some SICK combos if you know how to cancel some animations/moves and replace them with others. I'm replaying Unleashed with a lvl 2 strength Werehog rn and I'm having the time of my life, really.
People don’t realize that werehog actually is really fun to play once you level up the combos.
not when you only have the wii version
@@g3jusfly497 or ps2 version but yeah
Ikr and I've played both HD & SD versions.
@@IceisNice_FollowingChrist Unleashed if there wasn’t any qte I feel the werehog stages could’ve been better if focused more on combo styles.

It’s kind of fun seeing Sonic absolutely beating the shit out of enemies instead of just plowing through them
Where did this kinda combo variety go in sonic frontiers…..
I feel like some moves in sonic frontiers last too long compared to this game, some moves work right away like the projectiles and stomp, but some other moves like spin slash and wild rush feel like pacebreakers
Moves in unleash are a lot more than frontiers, but unlike frontiers there’s a grab with quick time events.
It went away when the entire sonic community took a massive dump on this game when it came out. Same thing that happened to Pokemon with Gen 5.
Did you just say there's no grab based quick time events in unleashed??? That's where those oiriginated @@skullromboxieye251
@@theAmazingJunkmanout the window because sonic fans and dumbass game reviews ruined everything
Maybe the Werehog was slept on
Heavily.
Always has been
It still is unfortunately
I still like werehog

i gotta say, sonic's werehog attacks when grabbing two enemies is pretty BRUTAL.
1:31 this brings me joy every time I use it
1:40 I remember mashing the crap out of this move and straight up losing it because of how inadvertently stupid it looks mashing the life out of the enemies
I don’t seem to understand to why nobody likes Sonic as he was a werehog. He looks completely badass and all
It's a original transformation
You should’ve seen the demo versions of the Werehog before the official one
Y'all just face it, Unleashed has better combat than Frontiers.
A lot of games do.
Somebody had to speak the truth😭👏
Thank you!
yeah it is. frontiers could have better combat if the made the moves a lot faster and snappier, while making them have different effects on enimies and giving them different uses, and added more moves it could have been better
A lot of things are better
If only Frontiers has freeflow combat like this
this isnt freeflow combat, thats the arkham games. this is more like the gow games from the ps2 and 3 era

Agree I also have the PS3 version too
Same here as well.
dude WE NEED MULTIPLAYER 1V1 RIGHT NOW THIS IS SICK
1:39 is my favorite move of all time
Looks like: aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I'm going to spam punches in every direction and maybe works!
1:41 ilove this combo and the wheel one sooo much its so pleasing
I wish frontiers had unlockable combo moves rather than just special movies sonic could do
All sonic needs now is a straw hat and a scar under his eye
1:02
Seeing this without severe frame drops feels strange... dare I say less satisfying, but that's probably cause I got used to it.
And people will still say Frontiers combat is better. Insane

Sonic Werehog spin attack= PERFECTION
That attack is so goofy i love it

WEREHOG MONSTER 🐺🐺
Sonic Frontiers is better then the Werehog
nerd
Combo look stiff af and mashy there
You watch a flashy cutscene for every attack in Frontiers. I think this is still better.
yea uh nah chief LMFAO, Werehog looks AND feels like DMC or GoW compared to Frontiers imo
Uh no
