Plant Shopping @ Vermeer’s ( philodendron, Hoya, cactus succulents and more house plants)

Hi Plant Friends, Summer is here, and the temperatures have been soaring, but that hasn't stopped us from indulging in a bit of plant shopping at Vermeer's. Despite the sweltering heat, the allure of Vermeer’s nursery, with its expansive selection of plants, is irresistible. As I step into the nursery, the vibrant greenery and earthy scent of soil and foliage greet me, making me forget the heat. The succulent section is particularly captivating, with rows of tiny, resilient plants like echeverias, spiky cactus, and quirky-looking lithops, each thriving under the summer sun. Despite the blazing sun, I'm grateful for places like Vermeer’s - a sanctuary for plant lovers, no matter the weather.

I traveled to Mississippi and Louisiana to find cacti but didn't have time to go to any of the local nursery....however, i found an opuntia on the side of the road in a dirt mound!!! How awesome is that!!!
