I also used to stay at the Old Wooden Bridge Fish Camp before the hurricane blew it away and kayak fished Spanish Harbor out of there. On the south side of No Name Key there is a cove with and island named Refuge Key. I've never been there but read years ago in a kayak fishing magazine that there is some deep water around the island and good fishing there.

Thanks Steve. Love the recon and cruising around. It's so beautiful out there. Always something new to explore. That's why I love my kayak. You can always pick any new spots to explore. 🎣 😎 🙏

I love Lobster season Steve. Why you may think? Will it all has to do with the free Lobsters. See where I live folks go on night dives. Something must happen that causes them to abandon their catch bags. I come along a little while later and it's a gift. No muss. No fuss. Sometimes the tickle stick and gage is included!

I used to stay at the BPKFL on Stock Island and fish out of Spanish Harbor. A little further offshore along the south face of the barrier island going toward Coupon Bight has some killer patch reefs to fish or dive on.

Thanks for prospecting this area. I have a place on Big Pine Key and that is one of the ramps that I use most. I still don't kayak much but that will change. I am looking for an Outrigger for my kayak that will allow me to stand or atleast be sturdy on it. I am about 230 pounds and would like to be more stable before I start fishing more on mine. Can I ask you what you use for your outrigger?
    Thanks Steve.

Thanks. It probably won't fit without some kind of modification on mine.

I tried to call to get a price on tent camping down there and they said they don't rent tent campsites? Do you know a good place down there a guy can affordably rent a tent campsite for the winter season that has public shower facilities and maybe washer access. I watch a lot of your videos I spent 20 years or more in Florida. I've been living in East Tennessee for 15 years and I don't want to spend another winter here. I just lost my 88-year-old dad this year and I'm all alone and would rather spend my winter down there fishing and cultivating my business interest. Thanks for any advice or knowledge you might pass. Appreciate your time thank you very much sir

Don't try so hard to hide the trash at the launch. The beach south of BPFL is one of the trashiest in the keys. Bring a trash bag and welcome to paradise!
