The great thing about it is that you can use any type of fruit so you can really experiment with flavours. My favourites so far are the finger lime, and a wild plum!!

@@huttonsvalleypermaculture oh yum! That sounds like a delicious combination!!! Our finger limes are yet to fruit, so I will be excited to try this when we harvest! We have alot of lemonade fruits, tumeric and ginger atm...so I might give that a go 😋😋

Beetroot/lime and a rhubarb are two of our favourites.

Wow - beetroot and lime sounds interesting - will have to give that a go! And I have plenty of rhubarb but never thought to use it for my sodas! Yay! Love trying out new flavours. Thanks Fiona

I made an apple one, just organic apple juice and the skins from a couple of organic apples. Had a bit of a kick 🤣

I think my current excess of limes will be a good start. I don't have a starter though.

You can make it without a starter it just takes longer - maybe add more honey - might help it along. If you stir vigorously 3 times a day it incorporates more yeasts from the air!!

So far my favourite flavour is made with plums. The finger lime is also great. Citrus creates kind of a funky flavour - I might try zest and the pulp and leave out the pith to see if that impacts the flavour. What fruits that you use make the best Skoda?? Let me know!!

This looks so refreshing! I'm sure berries would also make a delicious soda.
I don't have kombucha, but I have read that you can use kefir grains as a starter for fruit sodas as well. Do you make kefir?

Yeah I reckon kefir would start it off ok (I don't make kefir). My favourite soda is not the one I made in this video but a wild plum one or a boysenberry - delicious!!
