Restoring a Don Hill driftboat

My friend Steve was gifted this Don Hill from his dad, we took a few weeks and did some minor restoration on this boat to make it river worthy again.
The boat is a 1991 Don Hill drifter. Don Hill was one of our last links to the early histories of these Mackenzie style drifters, learning from the likes of Woody Hindman and Tom Kaarhus two early pioneers in the design of the Mackenzie style drift boat.
Driftboat have a long and storied history in Oregon, names like Veltie Pruitt and Prince Helfrich stand out as the principle designers and innovators of the Mackenzie style drift boat.
We love our driftboat and our fast flowing, babbling rivers!
