Hi Dale, After watching your video yesterday, I thought I would remove my Baffle today, and take a look and get back to you, I know I am a little late with this info for you, and sure the work you've done is as good as, if not better as factory standard, and please remember my TS250M is a U.K. Model don't know if there is a difference so here goes. The first difference I noticed the new clean out tube you ordered is the same as mine,
when you made your closet tube once drilled you pushed it right up to that wider shoulder part where the two screws are at the end where the deflector goes, on mine, the front of the clean out tube which gets inserted into the exhaust first, the very front has that wide piece, if you look inside it reminds me of a jet turbine, it is on that wide radius part , where the tube should be fitted, it should be attached to the end, and not slid all the way up encasing the entire clean out tube, it is this end tube that is drilled ,and fits into those shoulders inside the muffler, Here is some measurements on mine, Cleanout tube end ,to the end of the pipe with the holes in is 313 mm long, that's entire length end to end, So that tube with holes in measures 115 long, not sure if its welded or interface fit over that wider turbine end, Diameter of the tube is 30.28 mm, each 90 degrees of this tube has the baffles holes drilled out, so four sets of holes, 2 rows of 5 and 2 of 6 7mm diameter, Dale I am sure you have heard of that saying that, A picture is worth a thousand words, If I could have included a picture and ruler, it may have been easier to understand, I notice there is no provision to do so on your website, May be in the future it might be handy to think about adding a non private email address for this kind of stuff, I will ask you soon as regards to cleaning said system, Thanks for your Fantastic Channel !! Malc in U.K.

There should be a slot before the hole in the end of the exhaust. The hole is locate the baffle and the slot is to locate the end cap of the baffle tube.

Very nice, thank you. The original was drilled all the way thru and a bolt went thru to the other side with a nut. It was so messed up I couldn't tell how it suppose to go. The parts breakdown wasn't much help. So there is two screws then right?

@@montana2strokeracer yep ,two screws. My son has a 69 savage, and I have a 73 and a 76 . They all have a slot and a hole just in front . The 69 exhaust will fit the later models but the two mounting brackets are in a slightly different position. Getting difficult to get good exhausts here in the UK, the front pipe always goes on the seam .you oughta have a go at making some of those . Next project ? 😉

What year Savage is it? I worked for a dealer, owned two of them myself, '71s. Thet had a Krizman spark arrestor built into the clean-out tube which we simply knocked out with a rod because they would carbon up quickly. Not California.

This one is a 1975, yeah not really concerned about the spark arrestor part, it will not be ridden off road. I could not find one anywhere just wanted it to be quieter.
