Hej Stefan. Such a beautiful video. I will be coming to SAREK this Winter.
Can you please tell me how was your trekking without skies.
I am also planning to take just snowshoes.
Did you cover all terrain without problems / slowdowns?
Best wishes my friend. Stay safe.

Sorry for my late answer: It is possible to walk with snowshoes and you can manage all terrain. However, my experience is that going with skis is easier and less strenuous, especially in deeper snow. I've thus taken skis in all subsequent trips. However, I always take snowshoes in addition to skis for steeper areas, in very icy conditions, as backup and for flexibility.
When going to Sarek you can expect deep snow in the lower valleys, especially Rapadalen. The following video is from my winter trip in Sarek last year:

One more recommendation: Using a solid (metal) harness for your sled/pulka (if you use one) makes descents so much easier.
If you've further questions just ask.

      Many thanks for your reply.
I have watched all your videos by now (a few times :).
How they have only few thousand views instead few hundred thousand is beyond me.
      All the best my friend!

      @@differentangle2499Thanks a lot 🙂! I don't worry about views or followers. I don't need to earn money with TH-cam as I've got a "real" job 🤫. It's all for the fun alone🙂.

Hi Maco, I used a Fjellpulken (Norwegian brand). There are different sizes/versions. My advice is to use the corresponding metal wiring/harness in combination with it (you can see that in my other winter video). It makes it much safer to use downhill. I would not recommend to use a rope like I did in here. Handling was awful on slopes. I bought mine at outnorth.com.

Hi Jakub, the trip was in the end of March. There were days with really great weather, however, also two days of snow storm which I spent inside a hut.
