6:08 minor optimization here: you never need to attach the 5th energy to blastoise until you are promoting him into the active. Attaching to the snorlax is better to begin to threaten the attack/retreat with x speeds in a couple turns.
I clicked on your video because I just started playing pokemon poclket, this is also my first video I've seen of yours. I've never really played a pokemon game but I've seen the card meta and find some of them very repetitive and unfun for me and the opponent. I stayed throughout the video so I can see how I would be able to play the list when I can try it out.
I've built my Blastoise deck as efficiently as I could, but my down fall with the deck is it's too reliant on luck. You need a good start, because the deck is very slow. Also, misty is notoriously unlucky. But, when you get a good start and you get Blastoise ok the field with 5 energies, he's basically unstoppable. I usually use meowth to speed things up. Squirtle is my favourite starter, i love seeing different variations of this deck.
@@Dellroth Still a valid YTvideo since it's the first to showcase actual gameplay with the deck :) What do you think about swaping Snorlax with Kang, since he is more likely to get KO'd because of his atk. It might save you the energy to retreat Snorlax yourself(Though I did watch the video where you flipped double tales 1,000 times LOL)
Haha! I would probably still just wanna rock snorlax for the wall. You can 1 shot pretty much everything besides venasaur if you get Blastoise online. Could defo see it as a sub if the meta is really aggressive outside of pikachu
I’ve been trying to make starmie and blastoise work but it’s been ok so far. I just tried your strategy but with Chansey instead of Snorlax since I don’t have them and it’s working so well. Even with the faster teams, if you stall correctly and play your hand well it’s an easy sweep 😮💨 thank you so much
I have been running Blastoise with Articunos in place of Snorlax, and Misty's instead of fossils, and it works well. My real spicy deck is the Mewtwo/Gardivor line with Articunos and Misty's.
I think with the Snorlax vs lapras situation with 2 misty in hand the way to go was to misty the snorlax instead of being inflexible with the rule. If it knocked out lapras they had no energy left with high energy attackers. Snorlax would got 3 KO's and won.
Why not use Omastar line if you're running fossil? Super underrated card, and it serves the same goal you're aiming for, you'd be able to chump Sabrina still just with a body on it. As for deck profiles, I like seeing people use underused cards in interesting builds. And I like the layout
I think running 2 evolution lines might be too inconsistent especially if you can't pokeball for one of them but I do think Omastar is underused maybe together with tentacruel lapras or articuno ?
@@Dellroth I guess I'm more saying it seems like fossil did very little if anything here, and maybe working an evolution would help. Maybe Aerodactyl instead. It's just that your cool scenario of subverting Sabrina never happened, or if it did, the opponent could simply hold the Sabrina, so you would never actually see if it's working or not. You're getting games cause Blastoise with five energy will do that, but you should have some Pokemon to be able to put energy into if you missed Squirtle. You had one or two games like that in there I think, if fossil was like Lapras or tentacool or anything else you'd have been able to give energy to something that did anything, cause giving energy to Snorlax seemed really pointless. You have two Pokemon in here meant to take up space and it just seems like there's got to be a better way to assist Blastoise. It also would be good if you had a way to take advantage of second misty if the first misty high rolls on Squirtle.
I went from zero pika ex to two pika ex in one pack. I even opened the pack thinking I need a pika and bam 2 of em.
Sick
by rerolling over and over i would say pikachu EX is easier to get while blastoise EX seems like no chance getting it unless you pay.
@ I have must of been lucky I never did reset and I have multiple decks I spent $5 tho on the launch offers

Yeah, i don't understand why he didn't just misty turtleglock and put all his energy on snorlax
yea totally. Im not perfect and solid call
@@Dellroth Ok. Why aren't you perfect though. I feel like that's a feasible goal.

no reason to have the fossils in this deck imo. it would be better without them and just 2 more trainer cards to help you

I would say, weezing/ arbok, and weezing/ Alakazam( maybe throw in a jynx) are the best meta counters
Hi, I actually learned the fossil technique and same blastoise deck from the Tricky Gym channel yesterday😂
Lmao I filmed this like a week ago 🤣🤣

Right same deck card for card
Cool to see it played though

Yo that’s crazy i have not seen his list or vid 💀
What makes me stick around is seeing new cards people arent using or new ideas.
Like Mogwai's 3 energy type dragonite deck

Hey bud love the content. Just started playing yesterday. Pretty fun ! Can’t wait for future content. Have a good one 👋
Welcome aboard!

You could also consider to evolve your fossil instead of running a red card, that works also very well, iam a big Aerodactyl fan in some decks

New layout is a big win fs
Glad you liked it! Was a bit of work to set up, but thinking it will be super useful now
Squirtle/Blastoise is my favorite starter so I’m just glad he doesn’t absolutely suck lol😂
They infant are not bad in the right scenario
Got a Blastoise ex from a Japanese account in a wonder pick yesterday night.
Here, still to the end, watching because I wanna see it being used in a game
🙏 appreciate you
Maybe if the fossils didnt give points like normal tcg they would be good

Just using the fossil to counter Sabrina while loading up Blastoise. Deck would be too clunky with another evo line imo
