this is why we don't go full arcanium/fighting pieces. mixing in with pre-nimbus pieces are what makes the build decent. plus, add in the fact that these pieces are *only uncommon* means that there are better pieces to come. i honestly don't know why people rushed to get a full set of the new armor set when nimbus sea is like 5% complete. i have completed 4 files and their stats and builds are good enough.
yeah i always assumed that it was clickbait or something when thene arcane odyssey youtubers would yap about how "broken" or "op" the new arcanium sets were; the stats are decent at best and straight up bad at worst
i literally only use it as vanity meanwhile i have full vatrachos armor that i had before the update equipped, now with regen enchants and piercing gemstones instead of the gemstones and enchants i had previously
most youtubers have blown arcanium way out of proportion when they are sort of a lackluster addition; just armor sets you can use if you didnt grind calvus, elius, dark sea or fishing
Full explosive Calvis set with perfect agates and a frozen armored defense amulet [fair]. 40% attack size boost, around 70-ish power, and around 700-ish defense. Great build for dealing with ship npcs, PvP, and pretty decent against bosses. Blows any full arcanium set out of the water

I make some calculation about the "Mancer Robs the chest, an arcanium item, and compared to calvus armour bro, calvus have like two more of Eficient points than it, like two point if attack speed or size or agility or intensity, from these types that are the same, yeah news armour suck even if they are archaic or cristaline. Vitality based items are pretty nice, would be even nicer if the regeneration increase was at least noticeable.

Try a set of Drowned light arcanium/arcmancer armor and mix and match to your liking. It would be quite strong actually from what I calculated

the stats of the strength items were abhorrently disappointing aswell with sailor being the only seemingly decent options
Armor percing should have its efficiency drop off the more you have. Its efficiency should be better at lower stat levels.

Dark sea is meant to be postgame items, the stuff you use in the end of story endgame as a alternative to endgame gear
Nimbus is mid game at best
But the fact is that its meant to be high level gear later on, obv the dark sea gear we got rn is only for like level 100 to 200, but the same goes for the arcanium items / fighting items, their max level is around 210. Longevity wise they are better, but like as of rn there's really no point in them. Sunken max level for the bronze sea sunkens are well, gonna be around 130 to 140. After we reach like a level of 180, sunkens will become useless, unless vetex makes it so that sunkens have no level cap, which I doubt as sunken sword itself is at level 50...
comparing a 1/3000 chance armor to your everyday armor with some defense modifier is underwhelming
I made this video to point out a problem with the armor, it doesn't have to be the same as sunken, and it doesn't offer the same stats as it aswell. We have armor that literally gives more defense than sunken armor, and they're better in a sense. They're much more useable and infact they have the same EP as sunken, meanwhile the new armour doesn't. That's why I made this video.
@@arceyplayz you're comparing completely different armors, I assume the armors that you said have "more defense than sunken" or are better are boss drops, those are literally supposed to be on or next to the same tier as sunken as they are harder to obtain compared to the new armors that are just generic armors you can get from chests and are just some decent gear for people that have no boss drops or sunkens, thats why theyre fairly worst
I've reset my stats like 6 times since the nimbus sea has been released, I really don't know what build I should choose since my current armour, in my opinion I would say is trash, and I am super poor

Old boss drops are also still better than Atlantean armor and most of the new armor sets. Carina armor is still meta, so is Calvus and Cernunno (damn there's a lot of C bosses in AO).

Obviously it's going to be less efficient, you're comparing it to sunken which is the rarest in the game and it's not even that much worse. Arcanium can offer stats that sunken does not have, which means more variety. You want it to have MORE stat options, while being stat efficient as SUNKENS which would completely throw sunkens in the trash unless you're a warrior. There have been people that have used carina faulds over silver caped pauldrons despite being less efficient as it fits their build more. Arcanium are designed to give the perfect stats for the magic being used.
I get the point of sunken needs to have more stats, but I mean that the gap between them is still too much for it to be useable, like what's the point of getting it then in this update if it still isn't as good as sunken? That's the main reason why I made this video
Im, a lightning conjuter(shocking ikr also where are the hybrid buffs)
I only havea sunken sword and an entire lightning arcanium set, im too broke to go into the dark sea (i live in tiberia) so my armor gives me the stats im going for, (attack speed and agility) i mix it with the robes and a drowned power amulet for extra power, i have 99 attack speed, 46 agility, 80 something power and 130 defense, its actuaĺly decent for me before i go to the dark sea for the first time, im quite close to getting a brig and my armor is just gonna get outclassed when i go there.
Idea, arcanium weapons, increase the effectiveness of the imbuement

idk if its good for conj, but personally i run with vatrachos armor enchanted with regen, with fire opal gems in them. I also opt for a regen amulet with regen enchant. (high regen, high power, medium piercing, medium defense)
the build doesnt work well with spamming low damage attacks, as you will take more damage from drawback if you do that instead of having only a couple of strong attacks
the build is exceptionally good at killing pirates, at least if you're a mage (i've only had the build as poison mage)

but its a boss after the last sea's final bosses, which actually drop armors with good stats
I didn't really talk about boss items in this update, only the new arcanium armor because that's what the armor update is mostly about. All about imbuements and such.

Obv the new armor is worse you just compared it too sunken iron to begin with and second the rarity of the gear has quite a difference dont expect it to outclass that
I'm not gonna explain this again like how I explained it on other comments man, there are other items which have the same EP as sunken and some even have more defense, for example, frozen titanium armor. Arcanium stuff are even worser than frozen titanium armor. They've been buffed as of a recent balance change which is good.

Arcanium armor is good when you are a mage, it buffs the best stats for the magic you have
Its annoying cos people are forced to use a magic-hybrid build, and for the magics like fire, it's not as good as others, so people are forced to switch magics

If you're not fully invested into magic stat armor will give you less stats, its pure mage armor, not mage-hybrid usable
Atleast i find it that boss armor and such i have right now gives me better stats than my element armor gives me
Its shadow btw,boss armor gives better attack speed and armor than elemental armor and power it gives is just too miniscule to be worth it unless there is modifiers
Some people don't like boss armour and may prefer higher stats just like what the arcanium armour can offer. For example, you can get 97.4% resistance only if you are an ice mage

i mean understand, your problems at the same time, whats the point of sunken armor if its stats are easy replicated by using more common armor It would defeat the purpose of sunken rarity. I get were you are coming from i spend lots of hours grinding for full crystalized woodmancer armor aswell as a full drowned wood armor only to find out my sunken warrior and sunken iron sets completely out classes it especially when i use athalan pieces.
Yes, I also think that that's a fair point, sunken armor being rare and giving more stats makes sense, but I think it shouldn't be this big of a gap as it is rn.
What Arcey and many, MANY other players are completely ignoring like a bunch of fools, is gear level caps, we are not at a high enough level to max out the good quality armor sets, so we don't know their full power yet. For example, both the sunken warrior and sunken iron armor sets give ralatively the same number of stats, but with one stat swapped between the two sets, but here is the thing, by the time both sets are at level 130, sunken iron has already spent eight level upgrades, and sunken warrior has only spent three level upgrades, as sunken iron has a cap of 150, and sunken warrior has a level cap of 200.
Another set to compare are the two sets from Elius and Calvus, as both sets have a similar build, but with Calvus providing attack size as well, but the same exact effect takes place in both sets, due to the current levels Calvus's armor doesn't seem that much different, but once it reaches its final level, it will leave Elius's armor in the dust.
Also there is a short made by the TH-camr named Pirate Software, a man who once worked at a triple-A game developing platform in cyber security, and he has a short that gives very good advice on how to balance games and break metas and stop toxic metas from forming (which is going on 24/7 in Arcane Odyssey) Both the Arcane Odyssey content creators, Vetex and the rest of his team need to see it and learn from it, it will help Arcane Odyssey's balancing issues by leaps and bounds.
If you don't beleive me, go to his channel, go to the shorts tab and find the one on breaking metas.
Vetex and the rest of the team need to stop using the same methods they are currently using, it is destroying the game, and is the reason why the game will never be truly balanced, and why they keep having to change things back and forth, and why the playerbase is suffering severe toxicity in things like PvP and the meta builders.

The build I showed with the sunken armor was level 130 and was post nimbus. Yes, arcanium arcsphere did get nerfed, but this comparison is up-to-date and fair lol
