I'm a huge fan of these pedals as well! James created something wonderful for the mtb community! I've been using them for some time now and have ZERO complaints ;-)
Been using these for 2 years. I will never go back to any other flats. Got rid of my other expensive flats after 2 months. Still wondering why these have not caught on more. I too have had less strikes and my PRs on downhill sections have gone up.
Getting these only for winter snow/ice conditions with non-cycling winter boots while bushwacking and bikepacking. I can also see bearded urban hipsters using these also with everyday shoes. Either way, looks like a great product. Anybody remember Pedal Platforms from the late 80’s? They were a long fiberglass-like platform that’d bolt into a clip-style pedal for triathletes so they could effectively use their running shoes for the cycling portion. I’ve tried to Google them because I want some, but to no luck at all. I had some as a teenager back then and loved them for just kicking around in.
I've got a set of these and switching from DMR V12 flats to these I had to drop my seat slightly and move my seat forward slightly to be comfortable. Well worth it though.

Nice review. Please reduce the volume of the music to approximately zero.

Glad you like them! I've really enjoyed training with these.
Would really like to see them do the same pedals but in a composite type of material like the Raceface Chesters.
That would be really nice. I wouldn't complain if there were a bit lighter.
3:00 Didn't you effectively move your foot FORWARD (not "back") on these pedals, versus traditional "ball of foot on axle" riding??
Yes, or one could say that the pedal was moved back on the foot.
we have a set of these. Didn't realize that the other pegs that came in the Box were more aggressive though. thanks for the insight.
Neither did I at first! Luckily someone told me to double check and sure enough, they were right!
Same for me. Need to try the longer pins.
careful with the long pins those suckers are like shark teeth and they have no issues chewing up your shins... :)
I just got these pedals. And yes it will take me some time to get used to it even tho I ride flat pedals. I also have to switch to the longer pins.
Nice! The longer pins make a huge difference!
FuntivityColton they also addressed the 12 pins per side. It's now 14 pins.

Turn music way down. Did you play this video after you made it?
As James Wilson says: "Flat pedals makes you ride better, clipless pedals make you ride faster." Both styles are complementary
What happens to bike set up. ? Seat position etc and knee over crank ?

Just like AndySab, I also had to move my saddle forward a little.
Are those standard long pins like ones that dmr use?
just got this for my canyon gravel ebike.
Music is WAY TOO LOUD
They got plastic ones I wanna get these for bmx
