Hi Brother I have installed a new planted tank recently in early Jan, I need your help, my plants are not showing visible growth, I layered the tank with 1 inch potting soil and then 1.5 inch sand, I am using a self made diy light, in which I have used full spectrum leds its 21 watt, running all day, it 2*1*1.2 feet tank, I have planted Amazon sword, Bacopa, vallisneria and ludwigia repens, plz help

@@luckymukaddus the temperature should be 24-26, just because you have set your temperature to 26 on heater that doesn't mean water temperature will be 26 so for stable temperature, place your heater near water outlet or near filter if you are using internal filter and keep the temperature at 28° and then check with thermometer if it reaches 24-26 then its okay or else increase a but more
In how much time can I expect some visible growth in a 70 litre planted tank? Used the walstad method. I am using a 6 watt LED for 5 hours on, 2 to 3 hours off & then 4 hours on again.
walstad is method is a method to bring nature in your glass so the lights needs to behave like nature as well, make your tank believe that it is getting sun for 6-7 hours continuously, if you will play with thr lights according to your need then it wont work
if you had done R&D do share your experience i hav setup walstad method tank every thing seems a bit fine...but slow plant growth dont know whether its fertz or light issue...seems to me like much of light issue tank is 1.5inlenghtX12in heightX10in width...using 7 watt led...let me know is it right????
snails are very common in planted tank, if you have seen 2 then its possible there are more snails and egg so all you can do is remove them manually and reduce the feeding so they wont breed, and you dont have to worry because they won't harm your aquarium, they just eat dead leaves and leftover food
