It's all about how we treat them. I have 9 years experience and still I have friends from my first company.In IT we should have our own circle to get help or support.
Even job loss situation they only will refer or get you in their team or company.
I have total around 15 friends and few in abroad.
My suggestion always maintain good relationship and be in touch with them.
