Just a couple of weeks before that performance, Angeline's father died. He battled his sickness for a long time. He and Angeline had just become close again after rekindling their relationship a few years back. I cried when I saw that on tv :(
This performance always brings forth tears. I don't know how broken I will be when either of my folks pass away. I don't know how strong I can be when that time comes.

The song's called Dance With My Father. His father died several weeks before that performance and so did Angeline's. So they both relate to the song very much.

His name is Aldrich Lloyd Talonding. Basically the beginning of this video is just a narration of how this kid got to this position. Him and his cousin originally planned to just make a video greeting for a family member of their in japan and they both ended up jamming. They posted the video in Facebook first and it trended so much that it reached 3M+ views and got noticed by Ellen that's why they were able to perform there. 😁
