I have a number of Bambu Lab printers and other brands. One thing I've learned is .1) regular maintenance .2) don't leave anything unattended (or monitored) .3) don't use the default settings of slicers (disable options like "Reduce infill retraction"), .4) Tune your setup for each print (understand your printers). I suffered a few of the problems you've mentioned like the poop shoot blockage but have made changes to avoid that. I have not experienced the purge tower issues you mentioned and the nozzle shouldn't ever "hit" the purge tower so I'm not sure what is going on there. Thanks for the vid.

Why disable Reduce Infill Retraction? less retractions = less chance of clogged hotend as the hot filament moves up the heatbreak

@@LexxDesign3D it's part of a set of changes to the defaults, including "Lift Z Enforcement" to stop the nozzle tip hitting existing infill lines (when your printer starts to make that "machine gun" sound), I only use these setting when Bambu Studio is used for slicing.

I saw people printing an insert into filament spool and put dessicant inside to give a weigth. By doing that, it’s going to avoid the knocking on the AMS.

Great Observations. the only way to make those 17 hr prints of small multicolor prints is to make as many as your build plate allows. It doesn't change the time too much and you have plenty of the print that you can sell, or giveaway to friends and family. I am just getting back into printing after stepping away for a few years. I spent years upgrading early printers and it took as much time as actually printing, maybe more in the end. I am glad to see many of the problems and upgrades I used to do are now standard in the better printers today. There are more materials we can print and the printers are better have heated chambers and bigger build plates. I am sure it will keep getting better. At least now I think its mature enough to do what I want and it really wasn't before. Nice video about the realities and downfalls of multicolor.

Change your flushing volumes multiplier to .5, it does the calculation for you and is absolutely worth the filament and time savings for 2 clicks.

That works if not using large color transitions. For example .5 does not do enough when going from white to black.

Glad yo see you back making content. You were missed.
All good points you had, and I laughed when you said "'cause everybody doesn't want to start there but they end up there" because that is so true. I tell everyone I know who is buying a BL printer to get the AMS because it is cheaper with the combo, but I've had 3 different friends all tell me they don't want it and all 3 bought AMSs after the fact and paid more. Friends don't let friends buy BL printers without the combo. 😁
I also buy the 4 meter PTFE tubes from BL because it's just easier.
I hope you are able to get back into the swing of things
