The platforming section at the start was brutal. By far the hardest part of this level. Thank god there’s a checkpoint at the end of each section. The rail section was thankfully somewhat short and only required good timing (unlike a certain other one shot rail level). At the end I was shook when I saw the layout of the final section and realized “Shit they made a Girl Power Staion 2…”, thankfully it’s a lot easier if you try to stay on the platform while fighting. Would I have an easier time if I did this level again, now that it won’t be a blind run? Yes. Will I? Hell no! I’m taking my badge, gear, and lore and getting far away from that kettle.
@@squidsofty8507 No actually, the Mr. Grizz messages are recorded messages! The reason why is still open is that it has a new director. After you beat the story mode, Lil Judd appears with headphones, so is implied he is now in charge of salmon run.

"pro tip" for the octolings: after beating wave 1 just stick to the part of the stage that comes down and only splat them when they come to you. its dumb and may not work at times but it makes it easier!
I find if you're being overwhelmed. Don't be scared to abort the area and run away. Not only will they chase but it'll also get you away from their ults like the wave maker.
Tip: if you use squid surge while on the moving platform, it slows your descent on the wall so its easier to stay on (you still slowly fall though, so just move up a couple times and you should be good)

Splatoon 3 is my first splatoon game and was enjoying it and finished the story 100%. Was suprised to see a secret level and excited to play it and it was the most infuriating, rage inducing, and almost hair pulling 4 straight hours of my life trying to beat it. The bear headband and sticker ate nice along with a title for some bragging rights.
The last phase with the octolings is a nightmare, I spent a good 8 tries just trying to get through the last wave of them. Somehow my time came up as only 14 minutes though
I haven’t done it yet myself so I won’t know until I try but the last phase seems significantly easier than inner agent 3 and even Girl Power Station. Agent 3 had constant specials, way faster movement, and was super claustrophobic, and GPS had the secondary objective of protecting the target in the center which forced you to be proactive when dealing with the octolings.
@@fleshdadbot6852 I got the game 4 hours from now. I did a lot of games and right now I'm playing the hero mode, literally just beat Frye. It's crazy how much you can skip every sector!
This level took me 17 minutes and about 10 or more tries, and I went crazy right when I saw the last stage, I inmediately went "NOOO NOT GIRL POWER AGAIN"
My advice for the octolings is to let them come to you. That way you can take them out one at a time rather than having to deal with 50 specials at once.

Surprised there was no actual boss... Agent 8 would have been a weird return to see... But cool too.
Watching this whole thing just felt like anxiety, and I'm just watching it. Dang it Splatoon, you're supposed to be my stress reliever not my stress endorsement
Huge agree. Splashdown is enormously helpful in the "Girl Power 2" segment of After Alterna. Splashdown instantly splats any Amazons that were too close, delivers a fair amount of splash damage, reclaims a serviceable amount of turf, and most importantly, resolves swiftly. The user is not in a prone position for long when using Splashdown, meaning they can quickly flee from danger. On the topic of Special Weapons in this final battle, avoid picking up Inkjet. It is a trap. Around the time Inkjet shows up, an Octoling will spawn with Tenta Missiles. Anyone that used Inkjet often enough in Splatoon 2 would consider Tenta Missiles as the nemesis of Inkjet. By giving the player an overall slower movement speed and higher elevation, it makes one highly susceptible to the Missiles. This is an instant death in the other game-modes, and extremely risky in Story Mode thanks to the armour/uniform break mechanic. A "last chance" of sorts.
Id reccommend leaving 1 octoling alive in phase 2, cycly through specials until you get zipcaster, armor will then apear on the pillars, stock up on armor and kill the one remaining octoling and pray to god.
I tried, and I tried, but this level is nothing but a murder on the mental state... The only thing that can make this level at least tolerable would be more checkpoints.
I remember almost throwing my switch out the window whenever I was at the last phase of the turf war section because of the AI octolings constantly gang banging me in a corner with wave makers and grenades
ive been playing for THREE HOURS and im on part three, not to mention the hours i spent a couple days ago on part 1 that even gave me the muscle memory to do that. i've gotten this far, i NEED that fucking headband
Im gonna be real, I thought this level was pretty easy overall at least until the end. I thought the first part was pretty easy, second was really annoying since I just generally hate those kinds of levels, an third wasnt too bad after figuring out what needed little buddy and what didnt. However, I do call bullshit on the fourth part, that was easily the hardest part. I dont wanna remember how many times i got wombo comboed by the special spam at the end. I wouldnt say it was Inner Agent 3 hard, but it was definitely obnoxious. Overall I my personal experience with this level wasnt too bad, but i can definitely see why some people got frustrated with it.
I despise this level, didn’t even realise what I was getting into when I tried it, but by the time I was hitting my wall I’d already made it pretty far in and didn’t want to lose progress, so I pressed on. My main gripes are simply the lack of fair checkpoints. There’s obviously inherent difficulty in having to slog through long stretches of gameplay, but it’s not satisfying. I’d already proved I could do the challenges therein and yet had to repeat them anyway just because the devs wanted me to. That and I can’t stand the target rail levels, that segment might not have been as utterly frustrating as the final arena, but it was just as time consuming. I lost about 3 hours to this monster of a level. I’m glad I pressed on when I did because had i quit I don’t know if I’d have ever worked up the motivation to bother going through it all again. Really don’t know why they couldn’t have split the level at it’s super jump points and simply let us take a break. By my 30th or so attempt at the girl power revenge segment, I was just fed up and wanted to go play some turf war or salmon run to cool off. Not to mention it was about 1:30 am and I had been up since 6am that day. This is a lot of ranting to say that I just won’t ever touch this level again, and I hope to god there isn’t anything like this in the DLC coming.
I sat here watching the beginning thinking to myself: yeah, I could handle this. But then it just got worse, and worse...and worse...I don't need the headband.
This took WAYYYY too long but after a few days I finally got it lmao Also getting halfway through the girl power station 2.0 and having my game DISCONNECT certainly didnt help
So THAT'S why there were damn near no octoling levels. Really wish we had more of these kinds of levels where you're stuck in an arena just fighting wave after wave. Feels like decent practice
When I saw Nintendo advertising them online, I originally thought they would show up more. Also noticed the fuzz on them don't really do anything special other than appearance.
Can’t y’all east hemisphere people wait, like, at the very least 24 hours after the release date, before you start releasing spoilers? Us Americans are struggling. Thanks.

the only things i found hard about this stage was the ending fighting Octarians. everything else i beat first try. not to say it wasn’t hard or anything, as it was prob the most fun I’ve had with any Splatoon level. i wish more levels were like this, but not as difficult, just levels that actually make you think on where to go and what to do..

If this was infuriating for you never play octo expansion 😂
The last phase with the octolings is a nightmare, I spent a good 8 tries just trying to get through the last wave of them.
Somehow my time came up as only 14 minutes though
I don't think the timer counts failed attempts, but I could be wrong
@@MadWeegee it doesnt
I haven’t done it yet myself so I won’t know until I try but the last phase seems significantly easier than inner agent 3 and even Girl Power Station. Agent 3 had constant specials, way faster movement, and was super claustrophobic, and GPS had the secondary objective of protecting the target in the center which forced you to be proactive when dealing with the octolings.
I have played it and agree, Girl Power and Agent 3 both took hours, octolings took me 3 tries
Omg the 3333 eggs, also I didn't know that's how you got the bear ears, I'm gonna speedrun my way to the bear ears now
Howd it go
@@fleshdadbot6852 I got the game 4 hours from now.
I did a lot of games and right now I'm playing the hero mode, literally just beat Frye.
It's crazy how much you can skip every sector!
@@unebaguette9745 yea
@@unebaguette9745 i skipped the entirety of sector 2 and the majority of the rest of the sectors lol
So this is this game’s champion’s Road ?
Pretty much!
I also recommend filling up your splashdown in case you get overwhelmed, then you can use it and it kills all of them at once
It makes me rage that some of us never used our special.
Yo thanks for the spoiler title, really is helpful to those *AVOIDING SPOILERS*
Its not really a spoiler, its just a stage in the game, its not like the final boss or anything, and in reality, its your fault for clicking on the video, so dont blame the creator.
@@Smartumbreon you uh can literally see a bear in the thumbnail, it's not like you can mf avoid it.
@@Smartumbreon the thumbnail itself spoiled the final boss for a lot of people, myself included. Kinda sad people had to avoid using social media to avoid spoilers before the game even came out for some people
@@Smartumbreon "Um dont click the video" are we still doing this. Is this what we're still commenting? Is this still the lazy excuse for an excuse that people jump to to go out of their way to defend day 1 spoilers?
I can't wait to see speedruns of this gauntlet. I wonder what strategies will be used to take out the Octolings as fast as possible.
God it was utter hell finishing this myself
Very hard but absolutely easier than Inner Agent 3
But is this level more difficult than Inner Agent 3 from the Octo Expansion?
That would be a no
@@danielfazylov6960 thats depending on the controller skill
But yeah it's nearly a no
@@danielfazylov6960 If it was like grandmaster galaxy where you can't take any hits, they most likely
Hell no
The only part where I struggled was the target balloon one, the final part with the Octolings is scary, but pretty simple
All this time we recruit as mr grizz collect golden egg for destroying Splatoon planet and why still recruiting again in salmon run
Fell in water, fell in water again, uh, fell in water, didn't hit all the targets, same again, again, and again, and again, and I can't count how many times it took me to get those Octolings in the last area out of the way. Surprised there was no actual boss... Agent 8 would have been a weird return to see... But cool too.
Watching this whole thing just felt like anxiety, and I'm just watching it.
Dang it Splatoon, you're supposed to be my stress reliever not my stress endorsement
i beat this fairly easily except the last part, i definitely recommend keeping your splashdowns instead of grabbing the canned specials.
A "last chance" of sorts.
this
oh 100% lol the autobombs make it impossible to use the trizooka. guarantee that's what gets most people killed
Id reccommend leaving 1 octoling alive in phase 2, cycly through specials until you get zipcaster, armor will then apear on the pillars, stock up on armor and kill the one remaining octoling and pray to god.
This is the level none of us wanted but all of us needed
I tried, and I tried, but this level is nothing but a murder on the mental state... The only thing that can make this level at least tolerable would be more checkpoints.
This is a neat final challenge.
They really made a splatoon champions road
Is there another ending after this? Callie mentions another rocket, which wasn’t there before and the hole at the top is gone.
No. All you get is the bear ears, the titles and an additional Alterna Log showing the origins of Mr. Grizz
SOMEBODY FINALLY FUCKING POSTED THIS!!!! 👌
I remember almost throwing my switch out the window whenever I was at the last phase of the turf war section because of the AI octolings constantly gang banging me in a corner with wave makers and grenades
thanks for the spoiler on the thumbnail :waaa:
yall found a secrete ending before most people can even play
not rly secret lol, a lot of ppl probably just played all the levels for fun
this is the best level i seen
Holy shit I'm glad I'm not the only one who though the platforming in the first section was a bit too cheap with how stiff squid surges/rolls are.
12:47 when the ultra stamp actually f*cking works
Nintendo really did just go “fuck it, girl power station”
A tip with soakers: if you need more time, use Fry on a source block and he'll keep damaging it for you
ive been playing for THREE HOURS and im on part three, not to mention the hours i spent a couple days ago on part 1 that even gave me the muscle memory to do that. i've gotten this far, i NEED that fucking headband
I'm so glad I saved up all my power eggs 🤣🤣🤣
The music almost sounds like ring fit
That reminds me of.. (remembers octo expansion pain)
Same
Just finished this level and OMG this is so cool
Targets are the bane of my existence i swear..It fells like a job instead of a videogame
the autobombs bring back horrible memories of the agent 3 fights
i couldn't beat some levels in the splatoon 2 story mode because of my acrophobia
i think if i played this level i would die
Once the octolings with the kelp on their heads, oh the game only really started.
It's about time Splatoon had it's own version of Champion's road!
I sat here watching the beginning thinking to myself: yeah, I could handle this. But then it just got worse, and worse...and worse...I don't need the headband.
Omg splatoon 3 just came out like 3 days ago and people are already completing the story mode wow
Nintendo usually makes their games too easy, but when they decide to challenge you... the evil comes out.
This took WAYYYY too long but after a few days I finally got it lmao
Also getting halfway through the girl power station 2.0 and having my game DISCONNECT certainly didnt help
The final section of this level is the one I have a LOT of trouble with.
I finished splatoon 3 a while ago and completely forgot about this. Now I remember how annoying it was 😅
Me: Oh my god YES I DID IT, give me a good reward
Nintendo: Oh sure, here’s some *bear ears and a bear.png.*
So THAT'S why there were damn near no octoling levels. Really wish we had more of these kinds of levels where you're stuck in an arena just fighting wave after wave. Feels like decent practice
When I saw Nintendo advertising them online, I originally thought they would show up more. Also noticed the fuzz on them don't really do anything special other than appearance.
it hasn't even been a full day yet
Fun fact:
This was used to torture enemy troops in the Second World War
Saving the world for a pair of bear ears
11/10
The dude be speedrunning this while I waist all my power eggs because of no checkpoints
Can’t y’all east hemisphere people wait, like, at the very least 24 hours after the release date, before you start releasing spoilers? Us Americans are struggling. Thanks.
Everybody talking bout the octolings
Me, who can’t hang onto the pillars and rails: 🗿
Remember mario odyssey secret level ?
Wanna do the same in splatoon ?
Nobody here will know suffering until an ACTUAL 100% run (beaten every kettle with every weapon, collected every collectible, 100% explored every site, maxed out hero gear, and collected all the sunken scrolls (plus After Alterna). I did this and It took about a week but I almost exclusively played story mode. Good luck to anyone trying to beat it.
the only things i found hard about this stage was the ending fighting Octarians. everything else i beat first try. not to say it wasn’t hard or anything, as it was prob the most fun I’ve had with any Splatoon level. i wish more levels were like this, but not as difficult, just levels that actually make you think on where to go and what to do..
