It's kinda weird that for Cult of the Lamb's anniversary CotL ended up putting more DST content in their game than DST put CotL content... Terraria got a whole new boss and weapon. CotL got a few retextures and a better campfire. Yeesh that's gotta sting for the CotL devs...
I think it would be cool if the idols had an effect on followers too like greatly increasing loyalty or just buffing them. For a game that’s all about making a cult it’s a shame that that wasn’t really reflected in DST

I love klei they put a lot of love in their games and i can see this update was just a tiny collab as service to fans but lets be honest it was lackluster even for a bite sized update.
No, no there is not. That said, the content is done and over with already and the Update hasn't even been out for half a day so what does that tell ya? One or two more tie-ins that actually gave us worthy gameplay tweaks would've gone so far but instead we have skins, two turfs and a fire...
while it was mostly skins for dst the new chest skins are nice and you can sort the items you gather into like tiers of value or something using the various skins using base chest skin for like base materials and the fancier chest skins for harder to get stuff perhaps.

@@TheBeard777 Depends on how you define Bitesized. I don't think bitesize implies new or reworked mechanics or heavy gameplay impact. I guess Klei could have worded it more concisely with cosmetic or similar.
I'm a big fan of that brick path turf, not sure if I like the gold tiles as much but they are undeniably still fancy, really faithful to their cult of the lamb counterpart too
I was expecting it to be closer to the Terraria crossover update in terms of what we'd get ngl, but having a firepit that grants sanity is super nice. This update being pretty small means they must be working on something much bigger anyway, which we should hear about either this week or the next.
All things considered I’d say it’s not bad, still. It’s a neat little update, and since it came soon after last update I say we should be thankful we got it at all, considering balanced survival nature of DST.

Feels a bit like a missed opportunity, dst dabbles a lot in the occult and magical stuff for it’s story and gameplay already. So it’s odd that they don’t add some more of that in a colab with cotl. Some new weapons or tools would’ve been nice, or maybe a ritual system like in cotl, but I’m probs asking too much from a free ‘bite sized’ update.

Gotta say, I'm quite disappointed with this update. There's no meat(haha) to it and I was expecting the terraria treatment, but they did even less with this crossover than the other! I was hoping for a new character or boss, but we only got some darn skins. It's a slap in the face for sure, and I hope they revisit it one day to add a boss like "The One Who Waits" or any of the bishops, or even the lamb himself. Wishful thinking?
Man that fire pit will make sanity management way easier. I'm probably going to use those for light sources in boss arenas to hopefully negate some negative sanity auras

I really want to see a Wither boss fight if they ever do a minecraft crossover, maybe even add Piglins who are related to obtaining the summon requirements through bartering, and will become Zombified until the next full moon
It didn't need to be big, it was never going to add many bosses or a new character and it didn't even need a crapton of skins either. But it did need some additional tie-ins for sure. Small, appropriate things like grassy gruel or something.
I'm not a fan of this crossover. Cult of the lamb seems more of dark "DARK" kind of game. I like horror games but not ones that reach in their direction. Appreciate the update though.

It is pretty interesting to point out how Klei is doing the Cross-Overs compared to their Cross-Over partners. First with Terraria where two permanent Bosses with 3 pretty solid, balanced and not game changing items and with Cult Of The Lamb one pretty neat and nice but not game changing item. Those things are neat, yet the content is very low but you always have access to it while on Terrarias side you get an extrem amout of content, yet most of it is bonus content which access is not on a casually play thru. I cant say the same on the Cults side since i dont play the game, yet so far i heard and readed its all bonus content, not content which increase/changes the casual play-style like for DST. Even tho my comment looks like that some 8 years old had been writing that, it seems Klei wants to add little but constand things and Items in the game which should be considered as a valid option for players to choose which i find really nice.
@@TheBeard777 Yeah. If we can kill the champion of the moon we could beat the one who waits. The boss could even be wooly instead. He would be the only boss that is similar to the characters. It would be very neat and make a new kind of boss. All other bosses are much bigger than you but slow but wooly would be the only boss that is about your size.

If so that could be interesting to play around with
I find it strange how it's not mentioned that the new brick flooring is also a new speed boosting flooring (just like cobblestones). Maybe Beardo didn't notice? It's not like it changes much with the update, but having an alternative to cobblestones is nice.

I find it strange how it's not mentioned that the new brick flooring is also a new speed boosting flooring (just like cobblestones). Maybe Beardo didn't notice? It's not like it changes much with the update, but having an alternative to cobblestones is nice.

Funny enough I just had some cranberry juice today and while I don't mind it I can really only have 3-4 sips and I'm done. I'm an orange juice guy, that or the V8 stuff.
