These might be the same meerkat clans that were used in BBC documentary series "Meerkat Manor" so they have got used to human presence. Yes, they're wild population but half-tame
They climbed on top of the cameramen laying down on the ground also in that BBC documentary

They're real wildlife. Stay still then they will come to you. Meerkats are one of few friendly wildlife animals. Amazing nature
