//45 Wave facade Grasshopper tutorial

Hello everyone welcome to this video where we are trying to develop a wave like fins adn creating openings wherever desired using a curve.
So the fist step would be to get a rectangle in yz plane and then we can divide the rectangle using isotrim component and in this case we require only vertical lines
so in this case the U values can be 80 and the V value can be 1.
After that we could use Deconstruct brep and get the vertical lines and divide those lines. After dividing we can get the closest points to the inputed curve (desire curve)
and ge the distances of the poitns on the curve to the points on the lines.
after getting thoses values we can modify the location of the points which are closer to the curve and remap it to the new domain that we desire. In this case i have usaed the
minimum values to be .2 and the maximam value to be .5 , and the graph mapper chosen was sine to get a wave like curve.
the next step would be to extrude these surfaces horizonatally but with the correct distance , this distance can be achieved by the dimensions component.
the last step would be to extrude the fins and get a thickness to it.

Hi I have a question how can you make the the horizontal ripples thicker? because im planning to laser cut these into a model. The video was great btw!

Thank you ! You can get the thickness using Offset command either in Rhino & Grasshopper.
