- In this fourth episode of the series, Introduction to Upanishads, Dr. Sucheta Paranjpe gives us a brief glimpse of Kena Upanishad.
Kena Upanishad is the second mukhya (major) upanishad. It is associated with the Samaveda samhita. A prominent feature of the Kena Upanishad is its discussion of Brahman with attributes and without attributes (no attributes). It discusses Brahman in a great detail.
Another peculiar facet of Kenopanishad is that it is composed in both verse and prose format.

भांडारकर संस्था पुण्यामध्ये आहे,का नाही मराठी मध्ये स्पष्ट केले जात ? No doubt it is very clear to understand but still it comes in mind why not मराठी or हिंदी ?
Although she is lucid in summarizing the literal meaning, she starts the upanishad with incorrect enunciation - she pronounces "ka u devo" as "ka u deo"; she says yudanti instead of yunakti.
Sorry বেঙ্গলি varson করে দিন । বাংলা টা দিন।

While listening to Sucheta ma'am, i can remind myself of the joy, i used to experience in my highschool Sanskrit class.. The book and class would be full of these kind of discussions..
Thank you for the wealth of knowledge that you are able to impart in such a loving way! Hari Om Tat Sat!
I could sit below you and listen for a long time. Thank you!
Madam, this is in sincere appreciation of BORI to be broadcasting the teachings of upanishads through saraswathis like you. This should have been done long ago, nevertheless, is not missed. Having listened to this excellent speech of yours, can we conclude that 'Tena Vina Thrunamapi Na Chalathi' is originated from Kenopanishath?. Kindly clarify whether this is true and if not, please indicate the origin of this phrase.
1. PLEASE COME TO KOO ALSO.
2. DO YOU HAVE PRINTING PRESS AND SELL BOOKS?
IF YES, HOW TO BUY ONLINE?
Madam please continue the class.
मॅडम,

Well explained mam

🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Nicely explained.
Is it 'Gyanendriya' or 'Jnanendriya'? It is true that Hindi speakers mispronounce the sound(swara) 'jna' as 'gya' but Marathi speakers pronounce it rightly. I do not know why a Marathi Sanskrit scholar like you is pronouncing the word as 'gyanendriya'. Please correct if I am wrong,
Dnyanendriya
Topic here is something else- Pappu

Request you to see the video 'God is easy to know intellectually' in TH-cam. It is a model which helps you know God as Brahma the Unmanifest. There are two parts.
Light as energy has duality, Waveform and packet form as per Physics. So is Brahmana.
We're why decided your ideas
Can we coin some other word for philosophy? As our darshan shastra has proper deep meaning.
Very nicely explained kena Upanishad in simple language.
Philosophy literally means “love for wisdom”
Darshana literally means “vision”
‘Wisdom’ and ‘vision’ are of same etymological origin.
Both words came from proto-Germanic ‘wissaz’ which means “to see”
There is no need for another word than ‘philosophy’
@@chandlerminh6230 love for wisdom leads to darshan which is the ultimate aim . Anyway thanks for sharing your view.
