I've been using my 7'3"ML for lightweight jig fishing walleye in the river. My first and second fish with this rod were 9.98# and 13.75# in fast current. The rod handled them perfectly. I'm super happy, thank you
So where do these fall in line with the Avid X series....they're $20 cheaper. Has anyone fished both yet, and can compare? I'm not sure if I should get the Avid X series or this new series.
I have both. In my opinion the Victory is superior in every aspect except for the handle. I prefer the Avid X handle, but the Victory is more sensitive and performs better.
I brought the victory 7ft 4 in heavy action i think I may have put the wrong reel on it I put a Calcutta 200gtb it seem to have angle when going through the first guide instead of go though evenly should I have put a low profile reel instead of a round reel ????
I was a dicks today and I picked up alot of baitcaster rods but then I saw a mojo rod for 149 and was blow away crazy nicer it was than anything in the store
What's up with these silly confusing rod names? ''The Marshal''?? ''The Grunt''?? ''Full Contact [Finesse]'' with a 7/8 rating? ''Full Contact''? That's your frog rod! ''Power Target Cranker''? Again with the strange 7/8 rating. But besides that, what's up with the ''Target'' name? What are you targeting on a cranking rod? Fish? structure? what? And last but not least, ''Max Tactical''?? What's that? a flashlight or maybe a piece of survival equipment? Sorry St Croix, I don't know what your thinking with these rod names. These rods to me are designed for the beginner to intermediate angler. So maybe try not to be so confusing to them. I as a seasoned angler know what these rods are used for by the lure weight and action rating. But for a beginner its confusing. For me the names are just dumb...... By the way, your blue rods have some strange names too, ''Bullfrog''.... to name one. I have thousands invested in St Croix rods, I'm no stranger to all your rod lines. I recently purchased 4 your Extreme 2020 versions. No stupid names on them Thank God! But you could of named it the ''Bank Buster''!

Just bought a Victory!!! So excited to try it out.

It’s so much more sensitive than Avid X

Why did you reverse the Fuji vss spinning handle? It works best the other way around as intended, otherwise love the casting models!
The handle is literally the only thing I hate about this rod. 10/10 if it wasn't for the handle.
I'm looking to get a MH all around rod from this line and I can't decide between the grunt or the marshal.
You guys chose motorcycle brand names for your new rods, Victory and Triumph, cool!
The Triumph rods have been around for a long time so where are you getting the idea that it is a new rod from St. Croix?

I just ordered a victory MH fast not for bass but for king salmon. It's half the weight as my other salmon rods n it's rated to throw heavier lures.
Love my victory rod 7'3 MED, MAX TACTICAL
Please explain the technique specifics on each rod.. it’s confusing.
A more in depth breakdown of rod and technique specifics can be found on their website - stcroixrods.com/pages/victory

Does anyone still prefer the look of full cork grips? ✋🏿
I do!!!
Yes but not the larger share of the market these are directed at.
Yes, just remember to seal the cork with U-40. Know if they come out with 7-6 ml spinning rod will definitely pick one up!
100%
That’s why I stick to more inshore rods. You will find more full grips and slightly more moderate actions which I prefer.
Full cork is for heavy work now only....ie. flippin/punchin/LG. Swimbaits 2oz + sorry splt grip is toooo cool !

And to afford it u probably need to take a loan out
If you need a loan for $200 bucks to buy a rod, please don’t buy it. Maybe instead of fishing, go get a better job.
@@ROZDAB ^^^^^
Victory means opposite of trump
If you think the election the last year around was legitimate you are the most foolish person in the world.
Victory is the opposite of America when Biden’s president
Hahaha! St. Croix rods are a joke. They’ve had nothing in stock for year plus. Try ordering a Legend Elite or for that matter... anything else.
