    It's amazing how Synthesia is able to show the patterns in Beethoven's music. It truly shows the beauty and complexity of his music. Breathtaking...

    I'm not sure why, but even among the pieces I hear the first time, Beethoven's music is always recognizable to me. I think it's because most of his pieces are written in a specific minor key, but even in a major key, I recognize him

    • @cameronlewis2639
      @cameronlewis2639 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Tom Marvolo Riddle It is mostly because he transitions into a Minor so fast and has a loudifferent point in most of his compositions that say, "Its Beethoven" When I was listen to "Beethoven's Radio Sation" on Pandora I came across a composition that sounded just like Vivaldi or Mozart, THEN the minor key kicked in and I knew it was Beethoven, He doesn't usually turn the same melody into a darker theme lIke Mozart, but he kicks into a totally different theme and makes it minor, then kicks back into the major key.

    Tips for people playing this piece: left hand for Allegro e con brio, soft left hand. And please download scores because synthesia does not give fingerings. And most importantly, practice slowly. One week has passed and I am done with 2/3 of the piece. Try it for yourselves. Also one more tip, for the 'grave' section, play with expression and soft left hand with a little bit of rubato. When learning this piece, also look out for common patterns this piece is in AABC format and for part B, same technique but different fingerings and slight modifications to the second half of that part. Part C is just the same, but the second half of part c is just a modulation to f minor instead of E minor.

      i've read somewhere that his hands were not that 'big', but im not sure. i did a bit of research that said he had stubby fingers. but others say he had bony, typical pianist hands. for example, that painting of stieler shows his stubby fingers. another one, i forgot who the artist was but it's a painting where only his hands were shown that somewhat looks like the typical pianist hands to me.

      I really like Appassionata, it's even my favourite sonata of Beethoven, but I have to admit that Pathetique has a lot to offer and it can be even better than Appassionata (although I only listened to the 1st movemente of Pathetique, so I don't know about the other 2)

    A few mistakes I've noticed.
    6th measure, right hand, at the fortissimo, begins correct with G, C#, natural E, G
    The next 4 notes mistakenly show the E played as E flat, the score marks the natural on the E in this measure.
    Natural A, C flat, natural E (video has E flat, but score marks natural E), natural A (played twice)
    B flat, C flat, natural E (video has E flat, but score marks natural E), B flat (played twice)

Never thought I could play the end so easily because when I listen to this piece it sounds so difficult! But I have perfect pitch so it helps a bit. Anyways, I hope I can finish it by my birthday. I have to keep watching this tutorial because I hate reading music sheets ( I’ll make corrections to the piece once I learn it completely). Thanks for this video!

I can confirm it's effectiveness by saying with confidence I have learned to play around 10 pieces in the past few months to a reasonably high standard (for a beginner,) utilising only tutorials like this one. As for the whole sheet music thing I say it's a load of rubbish - people should learn however they feel comfortable - I for one struggle severely to read sheets at a reasonable pace and these tutorials are a bit of a requiem for me.

    A note in measure 6 is wrong, right hand. with the bass walk down in the 4th beat. The E is flat and it shouldn't be during the A Major and Bb Diminished chords.

    This is a song ive been working on for a while on piano and ive gotten to 2:37 and still practicing. My biggest tips for those pianists who are trying to learn this is to really take your time figuring out your hand placements and muscle memory. To do this you can always try right hand only first and when your comfortable you can try both hands. The first half is pretty intermediate so for those beginners, try doing this very slowly and work your tempo up step by step. And for those advanced pianists, make sure to really pay attention to dynamics ( how loud and soft you play) there are a lot of dynamics in this piece. So good luck everyone !
