I can feel the freedom you're experiance right now. I had living my dream once, driving along Java-Bali-Lombok and hike mountains. It was back in mid 90's during my college yrs. But, I can't continue, even though I want to cross Sumba, Flores and other eastern parts. Of course I couldn't because of infrastructure, financial issues and the hardest thing that I had to finish my studies and fulfill my parents' expectations for "success". Now I live in Batam, Riau Islands. I'm 48 and want to retire early and return to Java hoping still had a chance to fulfill my dream. I'm happy for you guys, the accomodation looks fancy. Enjoy it, you deserved it guys. ❤💛💙😎

Just so you know... the average age for the sulfur miner at "kawah ijen" is 32 and their life expectancy is somewhere around 35. Due to too much exposed to toxic fume. As Sad as it is... the miners life also become reminder on how life has treat us as we are now. Always grateful for everything. God bless you both
Indeed. It is an awful and hazardous job that should pay a thousand more times than it does. It always reminds us how lucky we are to be able to hike down and back out of some of these situations.
I had forgotten about the book "The Mouse and the Motorcycle". I had read that when I was a kid. Now I just hope and pray that a mouse doesn't find my motorcycle which has been put away for the winter. Be good, stay safe, keep having fun. Peace from Connecticut, USA.
What a great place to be stranded! Tim, you may not be strong technically, but you can always count on advice from random people on the internet. If Dorko's problem is not the clutch, you may want to check the tinsel. Make sure that it is metric and not SAE. I hope that helps. All my love, from the CENTRE OF THE UNIVERSE!
I just checked... and who would have thought???? The tinsel WAS SAE and nearly caught on fire from the ohm difference between the US and Indonesian adapter! Thanks for all of the good advice, I don't know where we would be without you! 😊 😎
Africa twin will be good for next dorco. You need a more reliable bike and more official service shop like honda have than bajaj. Explore Indonesia with Honda Bike will be a reasonable choose According to amount of service shop or sparepart here in Indonesia.

Either you jinxed me or I jinxed you, got back to my house on Bali Saturday having ridden to and from my in-laws in Japara, Java over Bromo and Ijen on my Versys, Sunday went to wash the bike, clutch cable snapped, literally next time I used it. Fixed today, depending on how far East you have got you will be OK, lots of great mechanics around Tabanan and further east, West towards the ferry they are scarier, Good luck
maybe you can exchange your bike with another one in bali. many bike rental in bali due to top foreign tourist destination in indonesia, unlike many area in java you already explore
you have to change your motorbike because bajaj Pulsar is a motorbike that is not good for your trip and Indonesian people know very well about motorbikes that's why we don't use bajaj Pulsar motorbikes...

My car too has clutch issue. 1,2,3 is fine but power lost for 4,5 sometimes on the highway after some slight jerk.

you have to change your motorbike because bajaj Pulsar is a motorbike that is not good for your trip and Indonesian people know very well about motorbikes that's why we don't use bajaj Pulsar motorbikes...
