This video made me remember, why I love the afton family so much... Espetialy William and Michael. Most of the AU's I've seen treat either one, or both of those characters as a joke. Whitch I hate do the them being the centerpoints of the story. Their interactions between each other felt so... real. Like, I honestly think that if Scott did something like the Afton family reunion in one of his games/books, this wouldn't be far off. The references to quotes from the games were amazing, and I love the ending. My belive is that Michael once wanted to make his dad proud more than Elizabeth (before he saw his father's true face). I mean, considering the way Michael behaved in the past, it's likely that Michael thought that both his parents saw him as a dissapointment (problably only William). He wanted to make him proud but he didn't think that was possible. And he's frustration turned to anger as he started bullying C.C (fully given up on himself) But when his father sended him to sister location to save her sister, Michael thought this was his chance... only to see the madness his father has fallen into. And when he got scooped, he remembered from the blueprints that Scooper was his father's design. The reason he would want to make him proud is that Elizabeth wanted to make him proud cause she thought this would make her dad love her. Michael wanted it too, but he also wanted to show his father that he wasn't a dissapointment. And after Evan's accident, it's likely that William called him a dissapointment.
