The character of Rocky is so inspiring that it transcends any racial or ethnic divisions. As an Irish person with an interest in history, I can see many parallels between the two. For eight hundred years the Irish would rebel over and over again only to be brutally crushed. But each time they got back up and rose again. This was until a centaury ago when Ireland finally achieved their independence. To an outsider it would seem ridiculous to continually stand against a force a hundred times stronger than yourself.

I still don't get him selling dog
He was poor and had to feed himself and his pregnant wife at the time Sasha. He sold him for $40., and sobbed while walking away. But when he landed Rocky he looked for the guy for several days so he could buy him back. He ended up paying a lot more but Sly was just happy to get him back. He has a tattoo of Butkus. He has more than one interview in which he talked about this.
