I absolutely agree. Just watching this small clip transports me back to when I first saw this kdrama 2 years ago. Tears are falling from my eyes now just as much as it did back then. Superb drama.
This drama is just beyond beautiful. Their love is deeper, more intense and so passionate that it warms my heart. Definitely a masterpiece. Park Min Young and Yeon Woo Jin's chemistry is great! I hope I can see them once again in a show (or just date irl lol). :)

I do hope the real King and Queen had this kind of beautiful ending. We might not know that actually their end maybe is like this. Such dedication, loyalty, faithfulness and scrifice are just beautiful.
Unfortunately no....the queen was deposed and sent in exile into the mountains...cuz she was the daughter of a traitor...the king was helpless...they say that he would always look towards the mountains longing for his first wife.....the queen died childless and alone at the age of 71....

Yes exactly..this is beyond beautiful...tears roll down my cheeks everytime i watch this scene...powerful and intense expression in itself and powerful portrayal by the actors..speechless.. you can really feel the emotions while watching this series...its wellmade..

This drama ended beautifully. The writer succesfully wraped up the drama element without changing the history. I could not have asked for a better ending, since it was just perfect for me. Lee yeok and chae kyung are not only each other first love, but they are also each other last love.
Now I need to struggle fighting over this withdrawal syndrome 😭

@@von6363 they don't have a child. The children in the scene were all dream of the king. The king requested her to be reinstated as queen because she was the one he truly loved however, she refused saying he already has a son with other woman. And having her in the palace again and if they will have a son, the struggling of power between their son and the king's son with other wife will happen again just like what happened to the king and his deposed brother king. She, having seen how the brothers were manipulated by the politicians around them, she, begged off of the reinstatement as queen.
i dont know why but when i see this scene it super sad when u think about reality that they actualy not together,but i love how author can show some emotional moment between them! love it
The story was awesome and it always made me cry and the younger actor and actress of the prince and the queen was also wonderful and it made me refrain their acts during this clip. The balance between real history and the imagination was perfect and it was good enough to make me think that all of this was real.

This is hands down one of the most beautiful Kdrama endings I have ever seen in my life. And coming across a satisfactory Kdrama ending is super rare (for me).

At first i thought they had children but watching this episode repeatedly, i realized they do not have because when the king tried to reinstate her as queen, she refused because the king has already a son from a concubine perhaps and if i will live there again and we will have children, a struggle in power may happen again just like what happened to the king and the deposed king. But it is very clear, that till the end Shin was the only woman he is married with. Actually, all his clothes were made by Shin and it is still Shin he's dreaming of and the only woman he's waiting for till his death. During his last hours, it was Shin who he told to be fetched by his aid. Thus, when they both died, he said I'm finally home because he was reunited with Shin, who was his home. Imagine, though separated, the king managed not to wed other woman. True love indeed but, i cried a lot watching it. Todate, I can't still move on..it sinked to my heart perhaps, because of their superb acting, every word they uttered makes me cry...that's how effective their acting is. This time of quarantine, i already watched several korean series... Gush,. this is the best for me...

Lyn Lyn its just like what written in history that the king finally called her before he dead. so yeah they were not together and didnt even visit each other before. chaekyung decided it for the king. well if u watched the scene before, it said in chaekyung letter . at that time after myunghee died, he asked her to be his queen again , but then she refused cause it gonna make a trouble in political view and people will not like it..
Tiara lee she refused to be a queen again so that her future son won't fight with his half brother to become the king she did not want the history to repeat itself

even if the end is very sad and it breaks ou hearts so much ..this is so far the most beautiful ending in korean drama ...it leaves us with a sentiment of satisfaction ...it contains too much perfection in it ..park min young , you are really a very talented actress and the best for me , your drama are always the best , from SKKS to city hunter to healer to queens for seven days ...

this is love.. by not changing the ending, i believe this is the beauty of this drama.. i never watch the last episode of this drama except for this.. it's too painful to bear & watch... but i do believe this is love that everybody want, and i want it too... it's perfect... doesn't mean to be together stay together but in our heart we do know the love that we always longing for...
I was skeptical about watching this drama. I never saw anyone talking about it so i had no idea what this drama holds. But i thought of giving it a try because of the cast and my interest in melodrama genre. And now i regret not watching it earlier 😭 this was painfully beautiful ❤️ surely in my favourite list ;)

@@litavolante7427 in real life he was married two times(he had to because he had to have sons who would be his heir) and had many concubines but his greatest love was always his first wife. His second wife died when she was 24 years old (it was Yoon Myung Hye (later named Queen Janggyeong) in this show it is the girl/woman who saved the prince when he was a kid)
@@ScheherasadI found about this drama way too late but manage to finish it in two days and I started to dig and read everywhere about their true story. It was a tragic story in Joseon dynasty. They never met again, the queen died alone and even their tombs are far away from each other. It is so sad that I even cried in my dream.
When you watch the series, its fictional drama based on historical facts. But then, its not exactly the actual story, but should be INSPIRED by the ancient story because in real life, they were married very young like he was 12, and she was 13, she was deposed, then he had wives and concubines and had 15 children. she died childless and alone at the age of 71. so theirs is a resemblance of that story. But not the true life. I love the series, same as I am hooked on " The Moon Embracing the Sun, 100 days my Prince and Love in the Moonlight.

why korean historical drama always have a sad ending??? i cant....i am late for this drama because i thought there are no historical kdrama that are better than scarlet heart but this drama is masterpiece...actor and actress is perfect.....now i will suggest to all my friends..

As you all know, this drama was based on the real story.
After I completed this drama, I did some research on the characters. And I found out that the king later married that vicious girl who saved her life, and they both died at very young age. The king total married 3 girls (including chae gyung).
Many are probably confused if that part was real or not. Sadly, it wasn't. She never called him husband after he got on the horse. She too died lonely without a child. So that all was a Dream, that Too a beautiful one!!!
I guess the makers didn't want to give a sad happening to the audience. So they made us saw living in that beautiful imagination...!!

I just finished watching this drama for the fourth time. And i cried sooo bad just like how i did when i watched it for the first time. This was the BEST historical drama EVER! Every scene, every episode never gets me bored. It was just beautiful❤
Can I ask sth about the last ep ? The sence before Yoek's dream about his life with Chae Kyung and their kids. They met at CK's house but CK want to see Yoek, after Yoek gone CK follow him and said that "dont go, we must live together". So that scene is in real life or in York's dream too?

Despite the facts and history. I still wish them together. I wish the episode would have ended with the dream sequence. Where they were happy with their kids.
