Dwarf Fortress is one of those games that has managed to transcend its roots as a video game and live on to become a pop cultural phenomenon. When it got its Steam release at the end of last year, it launched with music. Vile Force of Darkness plays when the goblins show up. What better way to celebrate this awesome track than have a metal cover?

I've seen something like this before, back when Simon & Garfunkel told Disturbed that they'd made "Sound of Silence" into _their_ song...though in this case, _both_ songs are glorious, just in different ways.

Every time I play DF and get beseiged by goblins, I can't resist the urge to open up a browser tab and put this cover on blast. Gives me chills every time.
