As a Londoner born and bred , I find it fascinating that other people think it’s so amazing, whereas for us , it’s just home ❤, thank you for being so kind to us 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
GIV as a Brit I must thank you for making London look so fun because I never liked it there too much but now may give it another try. Btw loving the your faux London accent and thanks to Thomas also.
To Londoners it’s always a mystery what the attraction is about Big Ben lol. And most of us have never been on the London Eye or to the other expensive tourist attractions you mention. The good thing about London though is there are lots of wonderful free things to do. Great video - glad you’re loving my hometown.
👍Thank you for the tour. Looks to be on the pricey side for things there. Interesting, a local guy here was born in Germany and came here as a child and ended up getting drafted by the USA for WWII. He said once they got into Germany he could understand the Germans better than he could the British. The British spoke English like they had a mouthful of hot potatoes.
You are a laugh. Enjoyed this and you are very good with the camera. I went down to London and had to find my way to an appointment. I had to ask for directions and never did meet an English person. Many people from all over the world. My family were from up North for centuries and I felt foreign in London. I felt I had so many IQ tests to pass and failed most of them just dealing with the moving stairs and doors that swung open without me pushing the door - and my accent and clothes giving me away as a country bumpkin. Way up North, I was stood in an empty shipyard and suddenly some German schnell boats came and landed. Now that was interesting. The German sailors got out and smiled. I smiled back. The subway/tube cables just make me appreciate the British creativity and can-do attitude. Ta-ra.
Two 👍 from me on this one GIV. I loved the way you showcased my beautiful city. There really is so much to see. I hope you both enjoy your time in London. Thank you for all the hard work you put in to your videos. They are very much appreciated. 💕
Wow! Such a spectacularly beautiful city. I always dreamed of visiting London. I know I never will, but, now, thanks to you, those dreams became a reality. So many photographic moments you have captured! You are spectacular at what you do! Thanks Mike!! Never stop!❤
First of all, I am super immunocompromised, I don't go anywhere except for medical appts. And I can't be far from my docs. I am a transplant recipient. I almost died from a common virus that 90% of people over 50 get regularly. That's basically it. Thank you for the concern BTW.
Hello GIV it’s Liam the British guy that comes to Venice to say hi to you whenever I’m there , great to see you visiting my home country off the uk 🇬🇧 but I’m up north Manchester maybe next time you can visit you will love it enjoy mike have a fantastic time
Nice love and thanks for sharing your journey of experience with love , life , happiness . ❤ 😊 Enjoy your time in London England ! Your mom is a great lady !
Hey Mike I enjoyed the trip...can't wait für more. I was in London in 2019 in April. It was amazing, I really loved it. Big Ben was covered because of repairing. Your definitely have to go up there Tover Bridge and the Shards.
Wow I just went back in time watching your wonderful video. Was there for New Years 2000, spent total of 3 weeks . Two in London one in Paris France. Take a euro train from London to Paris it’s wonderful experience. Nice work GIV !!!!
Man I feel like I’m right there with you Mikey! Please visit all the cool spots for those of us that will never be able to visit this place. We can all do it through your amazing channel. Make sue you visit the Banksy art show, and any homeless encampments. The markets look interesting compared to the German and American stores. Lots to do Mike so please get going! - Go Venice -
The GiV has shown me more of London that I would want to see if I were there myself in 22 minutes than I've seen in my lifetime in books and movies! What wonderful photography of exciting colors, unique places and vibes the GiV brings to us all from London. Thanks Mike for such a wonderful tour! 🥸
Yeah, well, no thanks! All these big cities, with all their flash, is like putting lipstick on a pig! Too many people, and the underbelly is scary! All is not as it seems... 😉
London is a great city. Huge. And very expensive, but so much history. If you ever get a chance to go to Durham, the castle and cathedral are worth seeing.
I wish I’d bumped into you while you were here! I’m so pleased you got such a buzz from being here - London is still fantastic despite what some say. I hope you’ll come again…
It’s nice to see you in London Mikey. To be fair London’s underground is the worlds oldest metro system, so it’s understandable you will see a lot of old infrastructure and electric cabling which looks untidy in places, but to see how London’s underground looks in the 21st century you should of took a trip on the new Elizabeth line to London’s second business district at Canary Wharf which is on the east side of Tower Bridge. It’s a shame the weather wasn’t very nice when you arrived, but it did brighten up afterwards for a couple of days. To surmise, British weather is changeable, one minute rain, wind and cloudy weather, the next sunny weather, and in winter, occasionally, snowy spells. But our weather here is getting warmer overall but still a lot of rain at times, but no fog anymore. That’s just a myth that many tourists associate with London which use to be when London burned a lot of coal in its chimneys.
@@violette4841 Jokes aside, the British can build new infrastructure and trains when the political will is there and excessive bureaucracy doesn’t hold back what’s possible. We built with the French half of the channel tunnel, and the new Elizabeth line, recently opened. HS2 would of been a success too but it was held back and complicated by excessive bureaucracy which led to overspending on the new project, costing £100 billion so far, and our government has now had no choice but to cut the project back because it’s becoming the worlds most expensive railway. Also, people don’t realise London’s underground is the oldest in the world and one of the biggest and most complicated, infrastructure wise, so it’s understandable in order for our engineers to save money on laying out for new cabling to hide it underground, it’s just left in the same location it was when the train line was built.
@@lg_believe333 I am actually pro-British and many of my ancestors were Scots mechanical engineers. I was being honest when I said I trust those cables and wouldn't worry that the cables were out there for us all to see. In an emergency, I would look for fellow Brits to hang out with than any other nationality.
I thought something happened to you but I haven't been getting Any notifications. So I'm really glad I found you again. Glad you and your mom are OK! I was beginning to think the worst. ❤
I ❤ LONDON. Been there soooo many times. Fell in love with the city while in school. Like you, I had all those landmarks in my English book. Always wanted to go there. In 9th grade we did a school trip to London. Since then it’s been my most favorite place! And next year I will go back to London as a school teacher with my 9th graders. I’m soooo excited!
I agree. I was captivated by London the first time I visited, and it ended up being a yearly tradition and when time permitted, I'd squeeze in another visit during the year.
I saw that Abbey Road NW8 sign! That’s where I lived when I lived in London. St. John’s Wood which is close to Abbey Road. My postal code was NW8. Thanks for showing that. I miss it there so much. The Architecture!
Good morning Mike, 🤗. I truly enjoy seeing your mama doing well, thank you for YouTubing and going through your travels with me. I appreciate it. These are places that I’ll probably never be able to get to see on my own. I can really truly see the resemblance. between Tommy and Gogo you can tell that they are very much cousins. It’s nice to have traveling friends like that. You take care and be safe❤🤠
Your mom's smile at the start of this video made my day. She's a gem!
Yes and is still mobile and independent at her age too ❤️
I like the car she drives more that her plastic smile and false teeth lol
That’s his mom? They look like the same age. She had him at age two. Makes sense.
I AGREE! ❤❤

I have read that someone once said - if you are tired of London, you are tired of life. Have a great visit!
Samuel Johnson said that. A great man with a great sense of humor…who loved cats. He compiled the first definitive English dictionary.
It's so crazy that my two favorite channels are both in London 🎉 German in Venice & Action Kid ❤
Thanks for letting us tag along. You have a great eye for photography and editing!! Hope you had a great time with your friend Thomas.
