@AutotopNL: have you ever been caught by a Speedingcamera or got a Speedingticket in the Mail? ( and if that is the Case, how often?), I would love to know that! ✌🏻.
11 failures out of 2500 cars pushed to absolute maximum, often done by amateurs at their home garages and cars having quadruple of power what they came originally. That is an outstanding achievement. And also congrats for never having a crash.
The format is very good, you guys are nice from the beginning. What I like best is that you do the high-speed tests wisely and are not impatient or aggressive even behind the wheel of the wildest machines. It's no coincidence that you are the best in the subject, keep it up!
"Tbe Supra came with E92 problems." 🤣🤣🤣 Great, great video, guys! Internet is full of experts...some of us have been watching you for quite some time now and we know you're very good drivers and you care about viewer's cars and your own.
I actually learn from you guys how to drive and treat cars before I even have licence to drive and I keep this watching, enjoying and learning principle still. Because I really think the way you guys drive is epic(In combination of safety, politeness, how to push the car correctly etc. )! I would sincerely like to say thank you guys for letting me know how to enjoy driving even more. ❤
Stay safe guys. After driving myself in total for 21 years high speed runs on the German Autobahn I had to realize that other factors can take your life in a blink of a second. I was lucky and was able to control the situation at around 260 km/h but from that day on, I don’t go beyond certain speeds.
Wow I love this format, I feel like this should be done every year, near Christmas. Top 10 failures every year for example. Wishing you all the best and stay safe :)
You must have got bad comments on the previous video so you’ve decided to make this one. Just wanted to express my support and let you know that you are doing a fantastic job!
maybe you guys can make a video of close calls, good times, bad times or angry drivers on the autobahn. like in the f10 b5 alpina vid straight it looked like someone almost crashed into Max or that video where one guy was angry at one of you and caused a emergency brake. Keep it up I like your vids guys.
One interesting thing about the digital dash of the RS6 is how it immediately puts the redline all the way down. Really shows you you're not supposed to drive it any longer :D
Don't get all those haters, the so called "experts" and keyboard warriors get to you guys. Your content is great, done professionally and will always continue to watch your channel!
One thing I have to say is that there are many people who will criticize without any context. Defending your selves against people like that is near impossible. Anyhow, discovered your channel 2 years ago and I’ve enjoyed it ever since! You guys have been upping the content and quality! Thank you very much for the enjoyment 🎉!
Hello guys, first a big thank you for all your videos and for taking the time to explain everything : we do feel your passion and the care of the car you try.
Guys, it’s very good of you to extend the courtesy of offering to help the owner of the RS3 who accused you of wrecking their car and ghosting them. You’re about as professional as is humanly possible for amateurs.
We see the amazing content you create guys, which is obviously the tip of the iceberg, we know that there's a lot of hard work, patience, and consistency behind the scenes. We really appreciate all your effort to bring us the best, and you never fail to impress us. Keep it up, you're doing a great job!
Almost didn't recognize you guys without the GoPro on your head haha, thank you for this it answered a lot of the questions I've had about your videos.
I have no issue with the revs of the cars, but people unfortunately dont know what preignition sounds like. That is when the cylinder is preigniting and is starting to cause heavy damage. Usually spun rod bearings, bent rods, holes in pistons, blown head gaskets. If you hear rattling just abort the run when its starts pinging and rattling and have a professional look for that issue as its fixable. If youre really not sure what it is, go get a car with a distributor, then advance the timing too early by turning the distributor clockwise generally and go for a drive, it will ping and rattle(starting of heavy damage especially under full load). Or get a car that absolutely needs premium gas, is low on fuel and put in the lowest octane fuel, a few gallons and go for a drive and hit the gas, it will also preignite and detonate and rattle. Anyways hope this helps. If you blow an engine at high speeds it can easily wreck a car and put debris all over the road which is a safety concern for other drivers. Or youtube what detonation prignition sounds like, and yes you can hear it over wind, exhaust, tire noise, its very loud. Its like trying to slice metal with a hammer, rackety heavy tingy sound. Nothing sounds like it.
I enjoyed the original video and enjoyed you guys chewing the fat about it now - it's good to have some context to what happened to each. Thanks for the tip about McLarens being unreliable - I'll bear that in mind if I win the lottery! Thank you and keep up the great work.
Wish you guys a safe autobahn drive everytime ,those things are so fun to watch but bad things can happen too .And I also want you to drive the new passat diesel with the best power configuration,I would love to see that family car in the autobhan.
To think you'd have to adress stuff like this, as if people don't understand papers have to be signed to ensure other peoples safety as well as yours. Good job guys, keep up the hard work 👌🏻
Super unusual, yet a very interesting format to see from u guys. Would be amazing to see more of something similar in the future! Edit: Btw would be very interesting to know what are the reactions of the owners when they get to know that something went wrong with the car, u told about the reaction of the Cadillac owner, but u didn't get to tell much about others
I have a Celica T23. I am going to be building it to around 500HP in the future. I, someday, may have to have it on this channel. Won't be for a while, but maybe one day
This video explains a lot, I think you should also tell us if the owner is driving the car at the top of the description so we know who takes full responsibility.
Greetings from Frankfurt🥳👋, your shots are beautiful and thanks to you it is nice to see which cars have what power and speed limits, I wish you continued success.
I am 99% sure that the "aftermarket air filter" that was sucked by the turbo was one of those green spunge looking ones. No matter how many times i see one of them in a car, they always are beeing eaten by the turbo. But hey, at least they are marketed as "racing air filters". Either this or K&N from wish.
The Integra gizmos had the rolling road in their pinky finger lads! Advance sum timing, take some fuel off the rev range and she will fly, trust me bro. No detonation, legit stable map xD
Judging by the RX8 sound in the relevant video, the cas seems to have suffered a coil burn. No metalic sound and no smoke indicates its not a mechanical issue. I have an RX8 for 13 years now and i happened to me as well. Generally appex seal failure would also throw an oil pressure fail as well.
The reason why the camera picks it up, but your ear doesn't, is that you dont have a flat frequency response to sound in year ears. Which is why there is dB(A). But the camera mic does have a (mostly) flat response curve, so it picks up everything with the same amplitude. So all the armchair mechanics can be like "you clearly should've heard that". As for the RS3, you dont want 14.7 on a tuned car. You want it to be a bit richer for cooling purposes. Like 11-12 AFR. Stock, K-series Honda's actually run like 10-11 stock, thats why you can usually get some econ out of them tuned, and why they last long. Also Pim is a good boy.
Failures happen. Such is life. What I was really bummed about, was the Veyron video. It's such a halo car, an absolute dream car, even if it's older. Seeing that car not deliver its full performance was a little heartbraking, especially since there aren't many videos of cars such as the Veyron being pushed on the Autobahn. I don't care what went wrong, I would just love to see it return in full force, even if it's just to see it stretch its legs once.
There is a difference between pushing cars and pushing them to their limit. Most of the cars you pushed to the limit didn't give you any problems because they are good, strong cars. But if you push them to the limit every time you mean they will eventually break down. Which manufacturer says you have to reach it with cutters?
I love watching your video. I really wish there is a place in the US that we can do something similar. One of these days I will visit Germany and experience Autobahn.
Extremely understandable, they're machines and they can break if driven hard although they might be made for it. Doesn't matter they're tuned or not, the way you people drive is idolised by many in terms of skills and handling big power on streets. If I were to give my car to you and something like that happened, I'd find out what manufacturing defect/ tuning error might've caused the problem instead of blaming you.
Just explaining the failure on the car and mabye some background about the car/owner. The people that blame you are the same ones that drive 20 km/hr below the speed limit
To say, that you can't be experienced because of damaged engines is such a bullshit. I mean, even the best F1 drivers did destroy their engines sometimes and at least those everyone should consider as experienced :D What surprised me the most was, that in the one clip, where the camera really clearly hat the damage sound, you couldn't hear it.
Nice seeing you guys in a different setting. Question: How does it feel to have the best job in the world? Follow up question: Do you guy's hire? (Me! Me! 😅)
You guys should open another podcast channel or some other content . It’s good to see you guys on the couch rather than on the driving seat for autobahn blast . 😂
anyone who blames Max and Martin are idiots. the ultimate mechanical responsibility lies with the owner and there was no egregious driver error. tuning cars is a risk
11 cars out of 2000 with some makes of cars that would be much higher under normal driving conditions but you take these cars to the extreme and in Australia there is stretch of road 200 kilometres long in the Northern Territory and it is a a road is only one lane either way but the maximum speed limit in the Northen Territory is 140kph
Hope you enjoyed the video guys!
Cool video. I always assumed you guys were just sentient video cameras. 😉
Yup❤
Why don't you do a podcast, you know a lot about cars, and I would listen to it 24/7.
@AutotopNL: have you ever been caught by a Speedingcamera or got a Speedingticket in the Mail? ( and if that is the Case, how often?), I would love to know that! ✌🏻.
Certainly did!!!!!
It's weird to see you in person I got used to POV!!😅
I want pov of just looking at the camera setup lol
While you guys don't have to defend yourselves, I really enjoyed the format. I'd like to see you guys present more videos.
Agreed
11 failures out of 2500 cars pushed to absolute maximum, often done by amateurs at their home garages and cars having quadruple of power what they came originally. That is an outstanding achievement. And also congrats for never having a crash.

Guys I’m from Tennessee in the USA and I love watching you guys raise hell on the Audobon.
its spelled autobahn😅

I liked this comment because of autobon..😂😂❤
@ I said I’m from Tennessee. We spelled things the way they sound.

Holy shit it's two guys lol, I thought it was the same dude just in a slightly different mood
That's the darkside of modified cars😅

Changing something on your car and then submitting it for a video right after is the dumbest thing you can do.

Even though i didn't blame you guys on any failure, people love to nit pick tiny things and say "that is why!".
Thank you for doing this. It is important to show people that modifying cars is great but sometimes it comes with a cost. Keep doing it keep safe.
