Awesome memories. The '68 Mustang will always hold a special place in my heart. In 1980 my brother in law and I took two 1968 Mustangs and built one. We took the best chassis and stripped the other. We were on a shoestring budget at the time and had to find a transmission in a junk yard from a Mercury Cougar. It was only a Ford 200 straight six but it was quick from a stop. It was all black with a Mad Max feel... Good Times and lots of fishing trips. Thanks for posting the video, I remember that dashboard like it was yesterday.

That's the sound of American firepower! As a Brit, I love the ideology behind 60's American muscle cars. They are relatively simple and very reliable- with bullet proof iron V8's. There is an old engineering adage, 'Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.' How very true! In order to qualify as a true petrolhead, regardless of where you live in the world, it's compulsory to adore American muscle cars, especially the 68 fastback. If you don't appreciate the style and sound of a 68 fastback, you aren't a true petrolhead. These cars have real character and soul. I'd far sooner own a 68 fastback, than a Ferrari.

Absolutely STUNNING. What a superb looking, and sounding car. You really cannot beat the rumble and bass of an American V8, it's just epic. The 68 Mustang is such an iconic car, I only need to say, "Steve McQueen," and 'Bullitt.' No further words required! The Mustang is one of THE most iconic cars ever built, especially the 68 fastback. Some cars are worth far more than the sum of their parts, and the 68 fastback is definitely one of them. I'd far sooner have this car, than any modern metal. It might 'just' be a Ford, with simple technology- but that's a huge part of it's appeal. Simplicity. Style. Charisma. CHARACTER! It's incredibly cool. This is one piece of America I would dearly love to own over here in Britain! A car like this would cost £50k in the UK- that's $70,000+ That's what classic car dealers ask for a Stang in this superb condition. Worth every penny! Thank you for posting this!
