I am addicted to your videos, Molly. I am 65 years old and am very interested in beginning a new chapter of my life through abstract painting. Thank you so much for your up-beat personality and your creativity.
Absolutely love the beach. Grew up in So. Cal and went to the beach a LOT. Now I live on Cape Cod, MA and am surrounded by ocean and bay. Love the energy of the ocean. I also love your painting.
I live in Nova Scotia, Canada and I grew up in a quaint seaside village. Now, I live about 2 minutes from a beautiful beach so I'm an ocean girl too. It very often inspires me creatively.
I live just south of Daytona Beach. We're inland, but not too awfully far from the ocean. I do love it, it's beauty and power, but I don't like going to the beach -- too many people, for a start. But I do find it inspirational. This piece makes me think of high tide rushing in, while the prior wave is going out. This is lovely!
I am definitely an ocean girl, born and bred, (ok, also mountain girl). Picked up scuba diving at age 17, my dad had a sailboat and we did some extensive sailing. Later on, I decided to travel abroad and see the "underworld". That's why I so enjoy your work, and I got lost in this painting, again! You do that to me! Very pretty.
I like it too! So interesting how you get the lacing thru-out! Really love the movement! I live close to the ocean living in Southern Ca! I took my grandson to a powwow recently and afterwards we went to the beach! I thought there was a beach. There was not! Just ocean crashing into rocks! My grandson was very disappointed but I took tons of pictures so I could see how the colors and movement and where the waves come in! LOL... he kept telling me let's go! I took too long! LOL
It's so perfect. The colors and the movement in the painting... there is nothing to be changed about this one. You can't improve perfection. I love watching your ocean pours. It's the next best thing to being there.
Exquisitely stunning!!! Ocean water splashing all over the place 🤗🏝🐳! You were doing a similar painting the first video I watched of you, except you were blowing paint droplets all over the wall of your garage LOL!!! I was hooked from the get go. 👍👍👍😜
Stunning!!! After watching your videos my husband and I have started paint pouring too, ours never come out as good as yours. My mother and aunt are now getting into it as wel. Thank you for the amazing videos and for all the helpful techniques you show. We appreciate it so much.
Molly, your bravery to engage the large canvas is inspiring! This Ocean rendering is rich and lovely, and I eagerly await your next in this series. PS: I rewatched your pouring medium (how to mix) video and am going to try it. I confirmed Elmers GlueAll is vegan so I'm going for it. I also firmly believe that it is the liquitex (not the GAC or Floetral) causes the cells, that and water & stretching. So I may leave it out. I have the worse luck with Liquitex, it liquifies my paints and causes the dreaded zig-zags :-(
Yes, that pouring medium recipe is old, I dint use glue all much at all anymore, I need to make a new video. Liquitex pouring medium actually only helps to create pearl cells if it is very watered down. Otherwise, I dint get alot if cells at all. When the paint is watered down, it is just the paint density that creates the cells. The floetrol does have a chemical it it that slightly repels water, so it too does create some cells.
One of my favorite characteristics is how it conjures up the feeling of the ocean, but isn't a painting of the beach! Not a problem if it was, but I think this leaves more for the beholder to experience. I live in Jacksonville, FL. I'm within a short driving distance of the best beaches! Absolutely love listening as well as watching! I get so much out of your tutorials. In all fairness, I think that's probably why I subscribe to the channels I follow. There are a couple wh on never speak a word, or give any information in the drop down, but they're much more the rarity than the norm. Going to watch the collab you did with @MixedMediaGirl next. She is awesome, too! Thank you for sharing your talent with us! Blessings.
Wow that's beautiful Moly! I live in Florida so I'm surrounded by the ocean! I love the ocean/beach! I just recently got into abstract painting, I haven't done any pours yet.
Love this one and all your ocean inspirations. Blues are my favorite. I visit Disney World often although I live about 15 hours away. I have family in the. Orlando area and plan on moving there in the next few years. I hope I can get a lesson from you some time in the future. 💖
It is a reaction from the gloss medium in my paints plus australian floetrol. I mix the australian floetrol with amsterdam acrylic and then swipe it across Also, with very thin paints and adding a metallic. You can create cells like this from density or by mixing different brands of thin paint or adding a metallic. Each of the paint brands reacts differently. I like the effect of Amsterdam paints mixed with creative inspirations brand or soho brand metallics.
Hi Molly, I love all your work. I have just finished 2 large canvas with alot of the same colours. For a sec I thought yours was mine. Lol What I want to know is how long do you wait for a painted canvas to dry & what technique do you use to varnish them? Thanks nice work.
Hey! You're so talented I love that! Do you blow with cold or hot air? And I wonder how the paint won't dry while you blow at it several times! Thank you for sharing this 🤍💙
Hi guys, I'm learning the pouring technique... I have a question :after drying time's the painting will stay glossy like in the video ? or it will become pale ?
Depends on the type of paint and the medium you use. I use gloss medium in my mix so the colors do stay bright but they will never be the same as when wet. I use a high gloss varnish overtop to bring the shine back
@@MOLLYSARTISTRY thank you molly, I suggest you to show your paintings after the dying period, and the varnishing process if there is. Also I think you can present them at the end of the video in an original decoration for a better appreciation of your work.😊
@@susanediva2573 I do on some videos. On others, i just post the finished piece on Instagram or or facebook. I already have videos on how i varnish. Please check under the video for all the links as well as my playlists.
Hope you guys aren't tired of my ocean pours yet! ♥️ feel free to check out my Instagram and pinterest pages as well!

I love the big Canvas Molly! The colors are amazing together! Never tired of anything you do! Have fantastic week! Grandma from Iowa 🥰
What causes the cells to do that? Is it a product you add to the pain or is that just how paint does. It's so pretty.
Thank you! Silicone!

What I want to know is how long do you wait for a painted canvas to dry & what technique do you use to varnish them? Thanks nice work.
Nice Lynn! I wait about e weeks and I varnish with high gloss and gloss varnish. I have a video on how I varnish large paintings in my playlist!
Hello again from Chicago! ❤🎨❤
Hey! You're so talented I love that! Do you blow with cold or hot air? And I wonder how the paint won't dry while you blow at it several times! Thank you for sharing this 🤍💙
Hi! Thank you! I blow on low or cool. The paints are very thin and liquid so they dont dry too fast
This is absolutely beautiful, these colors are so relaxing and the fluidity of the colors merge into one another is amazing ❤️✨✌️🏽🙏🏽
Thank you!
Hello!! I just discovered you!! What is your go to pouring medium ratio?? Love your videos!!
Hi! Thank you! All my ratios ate listed below the video in the description!
You should should do this with purples and golds!!!
Really U r genius'.
Stunning. Did you start with a Base coat?

Thank you! Much thinner than for my other pours
