Some of the footage w Elvis could be the night he came to Seattle in that exact attire, gold lamey jacket and black slacks!! I was 10 and my Mom ( God Bless Her ) somehow got us tickets. I think in August 1957 at Sick's Seattle Stadium. You couldn't hear anything in the 16,000 capacity stadium, mostly screaming girls. There's footage of his performance in Seattle then he escaped into one of several Cadillacs!! Oh what a night!!
I was lucky to have seen him New Years Eve 1976.. almost didn’t go but my mom said I better, I may not get the chance again. Unfortunately she was right..
I regret I never saw Elvis live in '57 because I wasn't born yet until 1959 by then Rock n Roll was replaced & tamed by the teen idols. This is really rare footage of the "rebel" Elvis in action. Thanks for posting this.
The Voice of the Twentieth Century! No one else even comes close! He dominated music and American culture while he was alive like no one else! Even John Lennon said before Elvis there was nothing! A Living Legend!
Elvis was a genius singer and entertainer! Nobody was cooler, sexier or more charismatic than Elvis! He was effortless and 100% authentic and an American original. He’s probably the most famous Celebrity that ever lived. Elvis is literally forever and should be! He’s untouchable!
The talking portion introducing "Don't Be Cruel" is from Elvis' third appearance on Ed Sullivan in the Fall of 1956, I think. I know it is this talk because I tape recorded it at the time (I was 11 years old!) I still have the tape (and a big 60 cycle hum!). It was a Revere consumer tape recorder and I just put the microphone right up to the TV grill and told the family to be quiet! The video part of "Don't Be Cruel" is nicely fitted to the audio and appears to be a pretty rare bit of footage as I don't see this piece anywhere else. Sure, I've not seen every big of video on Elvis, so I could be wrong. If is strange that it would be rarely used because it is very good footage and should have found its way into documentaries, reminiscences and so forth. The producers here have done an excellent job of fitting audio and video overall such that the timings of each are coordinated. Given a straight ahead raw tape, the audio would be slightly delayed and I don't see that here. Good going.
Hi my name is Bonnie Foerster and I live in Salt Lake City Utah boy this video takes me back a lot of years I was 12 years old the first time I saw Elvis on the Jimmy Dorsey show and fell in love I have made many comments about many videos and songs lately just one really touches my heart I love the man in the very beginning for his looks to singing his dancing ability and that his acting but as he matured and I'm bored I learned to love him in a much different way. She Grew Older sodas Talent he left us way too young at 42 I still remember what I was doing when he left us my heart is still broke after all these years I've never been to Graceland one day I hope to walk on this grounds sacred grounds that he loved he was an amazing father husband and son an amazing human being but I truly loved him As I Grew Older as a man The Man Behind the Music it's been so much written about him and I've not been one book I would not waste my energy the man that walked on this Earth was a humble human being a man of Honor who walked upright with his head how high he was an amazing man. I loved him and all the stages of his life not one of them let's bad they were all in mazing to watch him grow and become a superstar he was I never got the honor to even see him once in person that I feel like I know him everything that's a good that's been written about him is amazing but he was a man and we need to remember that a man made of flesh and blood a man that laughed with his heart and soul a man that now he's in heaven with his family and his friends and I'm hope with all my heart and soul that he has found peace Isle of Man Behind the Music it's hard to explain the love I have for him not the superstore but the man that reads Amanda cried the man that hurt a man that loved Elvis you have so many fans to abscess world I am one fan can honestly say I loved you for you just being you NASCAR Superstore PizzaMan walked upon this Earth I love you Elvis rest well❤💋🎶
This is precious video...unfortunately so many of his performances were not filmed....like at Madison Square Garden...set records...major event...about 20 minutes of the performances filmed by a fan....I hate that devil parker
The dogcachter manager ,so smart ,so sophiscate , so kind, so generous, so fond of music and arts in general. did never thought to have the July 69 concert filmed that signed the rebirth of Elvis.
A significant year that wasn't well documented professionally. There were quite a few of those but n todays world where everything is filmed and recorded we sometimes forget that everything was in its infancy when Elvis started out..including recording and filming technology.
Yes Elvis was the greatest singer and entertainer. I loved his voice and all the movie's. I became a fan of Elvis every since, the age of 4. I am a fan for life. Long live Elvis. Which comes to my opinion that Elvis really didn't leave us. He faked his death. Elvis was being threatened all the time and family too. Elvis knew the only way to protect them was to disappear. That is just what Elvis did. I am not alone in believing this. It has been said that, too many, things were not right. To name a few the spelling of his middle name, jewelry missing and many more facts. To conclude, long live Elvis where ever he is.
And I don't talk bad about you but I still have deep fillings for you and always will miss your laugh and smile I hope she is good to you Keep in touch BEN 😘
Tom Parker marketed Elvis. And got him started but right away he wanted t fire Scotty and Bill and replace them with Hank Snow's band. One of the few times he said no to Parker. Parker was no colonel. He w.as a carnival hustler.
Hahahaha! THE WAY HE MOVES, SING AND SWAY HIS FEET KNOCKDOWN ANG LAHAT, TAPOS ANG POGI POGI PA NIYA HAYYYY...😊😉❤️🕺🇵🇭
I disagree. I think if we were there seeing him physically we would see how handsome and debonaire he was. he looked sexy and stylish in whatever he wore. Peace. Only Elvis can wear what he wore in 70 n looked great in it.
The only good edit was Jailhouse Rock because it sounded like a live version of the song. Also, don't slow these videos down, we want to see them in real speed. No closeups either, need the whole shot. Otherwise good video. Thumbs up from me.
Elvis was the most handsome man that ever lived. Great talent, and wonderful entertainer! Love you Elvis!
The greatest singer and showman ! ! ! A Legend Never Die ;-)
Your video is really wonderful not only because of Elvis performances, but also for the reaction of the audience.
"How do I describe Elvis ? The greatest that ever was.....or ever will be !" - Chuck Berry
