You need a feeding hopper for the excavator to do his job right! And make the sluice longer and wider so you catch more gold!

You're absolutley right - this was the prototype and now it comes with two sluices( the sluice shown and another that is twice as wide.)

The sluice could be bigger as im sure you realize. A secondary sluice or long tom would be the only thing i would do to it. Other than that a man would break his back trying to fill that with a shovel. Looks like a good piece of equipment.
Great setup but sluice can use alot of work . Its to short and narrow no time for gold to settle. Like to see about 8 ft of 12 or 14 inch with dampeners to slow water.

Nice concept, it really eliminates the need and added cost and weight of a trommel. I agree with the water flow comments and would also the length of the grizzly bars. You now have me thinking of a recirculating system as well...

The Idea is sound but it needs some upgrades. Feed table walls to short so it looks hard to get excavator into perfect position to dump. Your screen is to short so and plus or slow downs and water with silt will be thrown out along with fine gold. The biggest problem is the sluice. It is too small to handle the water flow. you need to be 16 inches at least and four feet long with that flow. GoldpropectorBC

veryyyyy cool set up I love how well its washing the rocks but I agree with alot of the other comments I would either increase the size of the sluice box or add another of the same size seems like its a little much for just the one

Simple and nice.
It almost appears that the water volume in your secondary is too much volume, and much of your smaller flakes are being washed away. I would add a sediment/ water collector to catch the small flakes and re use your water. Looks like a nice rig.

It looks like you can run about cubic yard in a bout 10 minutes. I am fairly well impressed for such a small unit

@@goldrushpro I recently purchased one of your plants it has a vibrating feed tray it has a 24"x10' sluice box and takes a 3" pump the sluice comes under the plant toward the hitch. Just wanting to know size. 5 or 10 yes hr.

@@goldrushpro the one I bought has a sluice thats 24" I'm thinking it's about 10 cyds a hour. It has 4 spray bars over the grizzly.

How much yardage are you running per hour? Will it work with the sluice box under the wash plate? How dose it travel down the road?
Lol I'm not the only one that gets idea's after watching gold rush I was thinking about a smaller all in one like Tonys drege but I'm more of a fix it with a hammer guy so just cool to think about it

I think you should have shot the plant dry then wet with a final look at the gold in the box. But I did enjoy listening to the motor run! It's illegal to run a motor within 300 ft. of a creek where I live. SUX
Mic Abe - Yes, very sorry I didn't show the clean-up. I'm in the process of updating my TH-cam channel. I put up these video's with the first prototype units and I've been so busy for the last seven years with my own mining operations, design and manufacturing, consulting, and professional testing, that I haven't had a minute to put up more professional video's. I put up two new video's a couple weeks ago and I'll make some more like it for you this year!

Is this a shaker table? ....I'm trying to get away from metal fatigue of shakers... and only running sandy materials through.
This is not a shaker table - it is a shaking pan feeder screen plant. It can be set to run sand.
How large of a gen set would I need to run the vibrator and what size pump do you think I would need?
can this unit come in a 30 to 50 tph unit with double sluice boxes?
perhaps just a little more room to run...like another sluice so to be sure to get it all.. like the working this is doing

So where does the gold collect on the this machine? I'm just getting into this prospecting and no, I don't know much. But I don't see where the gold is being collected.
The small sluice that the slurry is flowing down has riffles in it that recover the gold - They come with a larger sluice now, this was the prototype unit.

Clarkson riffles are a damn fine design, but damn son, I ain't ever heard of no miners losing 30 to 50% on their capture rate, and viewing it as the cost of doing business. Sounds more like catch and release mining to me.

What size of pump do u use for this unit and how many gpm?
that sluice is 100% to small .... you need 14 inches wide 4 feet long and u would be able to run 10 hrs easy before clean up
Who needs to run 10 hours before clean up? It only takes literally a couple of minutes to wash the mat out in a bucket and get right back to work.
