One need to understand the difference between Good car and the Practical car. I might like XUV700 for it's sheer power but when it comes to buying a SUV, i might go with Alcazar because Alcazar is compact and suffice my need as I am 5'9 and family falls under same height category and it's feature loaded as per my need. Safari might be good for someone who Loves bit of Soft Offroading and highway driving. Carens is good for family of 6 and 7. Scorpio as an SUV for the people who likes rough handling and offroading. If i get a Bus in 23 lakh that dosen't mean i will buy a bus because it is huge and under my budget. So, stop following blindly drag race video or False comparison video. Go as per you and your family need.

People often like to explore options and as a regular citizen who only use the vehicle as a transport option may not know about the differences between the segment models. That is the point of comparison where one can determine what they are looking for. You are only contradicting your own statement. Comparison is not to degrade but to educate the buyer of what they would get as compared to the other segment models.
@@bhaskarbose5122 i never said this video comparision is wrong. I said one need to understand what there segment is. I know hell lot of people who bought cars after watching videos without even realzing what their requirement is and now they regret. Segement comparision is always helpful to pick the right choice. But it should't be winner or the looser, rather it should be what is best for you.
If we compare creta base model and carens 2nd base model, the price is similar but creta offers you nothing other than its looks and AC unit whereas carens is fully loaded with features as well as safety features which creta lacks in base model..segments are different but carens gives full value for what I'm paying
@@threestars1968 that's what i said..buy as per your need..i20 base model is higher priced then base model of Caren's but if my communte is mostly in city and have tight parking space and also i have a family of two then i might by i20 as this would be more practical for me..just giving an example. That's what i mentioned above that buy as per your need. I know couple of my friends bought thar after being influnced by youtubers but now they want to sell it is they don't do offroading. Value for money is not only defined in terms of amout u spend but then what other ergonomics u consider while buying..that's why i follow, Motoroctane, autocar, ICN, Ask Carguru etc.
I drive the alcazar with a family of 4 in ncr, with occasional trips to the hills. No complaint so whatsoever, it’s comfort is simply unmatched in this segment.

I recently bought Alcazar signature 1.5 Diesel automatic which comes with all package of features, luxury and comfort. It costs 23.9L and Carens cost around 21.5L with increased price recently and so the difference of 2.5Lakhs you get for panaromic sunroof (A happy moment for kids), Digital cluster, 360 camera(Which is imp) and also the undoubted HYUNDAI Network for service and support. Really am very happy on buying this car. Ofcourse both engines are same and also brands. In any Seven or six seater if your planing for long trip then you need to fold the last two seats for baggage. 7 seats will be useful for local commute. So obviously even in innova we need to consider it as 5 seater if we're planing for a long trip. Just think about it

I recently buy Hyundai Alcazar. It's bluelink and key features is awesome 😎.If you want to buy a suv I recommend to buy Hyundai Alcazar. I owned Alcazar and suspension and ground clearance is good for the sake of publicity don't say Carens is better. It is good in space and dimension but the SUV feels nope.
I sat in both cars yesterday in the showroom.....and kia carens has more space like he said .

For the looks Alcazar is looks good for me but in more realistic Kia Carens are good choice in terms of space and features
there is a condition to buy Carens and Seltos. if there are 4 people in your Family then u should be buying the Seltos. But if there are more than 5 people in the Family then u should be buying the Carens. If u are alone in the car then Seltos give a much better ownership experience while driving
if u want a ownership experience while being alone in the car then the Carens feels a little bit Taxi
type feeling. there should be at least 2 or 3 people in the Carens for better experience.

Alcazar is the best. Panaromic sunroof, 360 camera, blind spot monitering, cooled glue box, center console arm rest with wireless charger, 18inch alloy wheels, remote start/stop, bluelink connected car features, food/tablet tray with retractable cup holders are some of the things missing in Kia karens...Also Hyundai after sale service is far better than Kia...

And also bhai remote start and stop is also there in carens and kia connect instead of blulink which has 66 features while bluelink has 62 , go and do a good research and come
All the guys who are asking that mahindra xuv 700 is best in this segment.i want to say to them that for all features in mahindra you have to pay 24 lakhs and in the lower trims mahindra have not even given basic features like rear camera in ax5.on the other hand these cars are full of features even at 20 to 21 lakh.mahindra has just big in size and thats what mahindra looks like a upper segment car but upto now not only delievery issues with mahindra but also some flaws are coming in xuv 700 and even mahindra staff is fail to resolve it.

in Bangalore it is coming 27 Lakhs AX7 Variant automatic. Its absolutely extra cost.
Also 3rd row is completely for children and no boot space at back.
Just for safety purpose cannot sacrifice all.

We love our 6 seater signature 2.0 Phantom Black variant. We are a family of 3 so no complain about space. The ride quality for us is super smooth , no complaints really. Besides it's our secondary weekend car.

There is also another important difference. The platform they are built on. Kia Carens is built on the K1 platform that is used by Grand i10. While Hyundai Alcazar is built on the newer K2 platform that i20 uses.
Being a large mpv, 360° camera would have been really appreciated in kia carens

I have Hyundai Alcazar signature (o) AT 7 seater petrol 2.0 starry night in Ahmedabad and it is good for highway driving but it is average in off road but the diesel engine is better in off roading. The car is very feature loaded but it has no features like adas, head up display and heated seats. The seats are very comfortable. 👍
They have to be competitive in terms of pricing since XUV700 and Safari gives alot more features and size and are at same price. Luckily, XUV700 has waiting problem else they will b ruling along with Safari

Buying the Carens for boot space as a 5 seater. Also, the underthigh support in Carens in the second row (I am 179 cm) is better.
Coupled with the lighter interior colour, these factors clinched it for me. I like the look of the Alcazar, way better than the fuddy duddy Carens. Unfortunately, I have other needs which the Carens fulfills better...
Yes I was searching for best 5 seater (efficient + practical + not huge + value) and my conclusion came to Carens. It's as Compact in width as Creta, and less length than Harrier / City. It has enough powerful Engine options with good mileage, it has enough ground clearance, height is just right, seats can be moved rearward and a lot of cargo space, or you can occasionally sit 2 ppl if really needed.

Yall must ne thinking, carens has a better third row AND a bigger boot, so where is thr compromise? Well just on the second row. Alcazar 2nd is WAY more spacious than carens, carens 2nd row space is okay okay, but the seat is just too small..so I guess kia decided to compromise on the 2nd row for adjusting space into third row
Sir i have checked both the cars. And What big difference I found is in their build quality. While alcazar's outer body feels very much solid, carens in terms of compromise (to make it cheaper) done by choosing lighter outer body. Which i m feared is not so safer.

The look & feel is not even comparable. The Alcazar looks premium while the Carens is more a taxi feel
Is dct transmission in carens reliable
You need to use it with care no half brakes in traffic and let the front car create some distance then gently push the accelerator when at stop also use full brakes when stopped then switch to neutral then when you've to move switch to drive again it's like having to switch gears at lower (0-10kmh) speeds but in this case you switch to neutral when at stop. If you take care of these then dct + turbo engine is an absolute monster easily does 8.9-9.4second 0-100 and mid -top end performance is even more beastly trust me when you drive dct+turbo you will get addicted to it's mid-high end performance. Its unbeaten in the segment and one above. Also I won't buy dct if you intend to use in extremely hilly area with traffic. Otherwise with these precautions in mind its a beast like non other. Educate anyone driving the car with these things I won't let any random person drive it though like a driver god knows if they'll use it correcrly might harm the clutch also pay for th extended 5 year warranty. You basically need to learn driving dct for few weeks once it gets in habit you're good

Clearly Caren offers usable third raw for adults. For what people come in this 7 seater segment. So no point to go for any other car where you can't seat. No point to argue if your family is with 3-4 person only, you can feel comfortable in any 5 seater car. Why you bought or thinking even for 7 seater? Space is very much important when you consider 7 seater. Another thing is price, Maruti eco has space but when you want luxury, only Caren is there where again you (not your child) can seat, in such a great price point, even with this much features.

These two cars should not be compared as major difference is of the price where carens is starting at 10 lakh Rs. less price then Alcazar.
Get you're facts right, the Alcazar is based on the Creta and also shares the same platform just that it's sterched, but the Caren isn't based on the Seltos, the recreational Mpv alike car called the Caren is actually based on the 7seater Sonet idiology and also shares it's platform similar to the Sonet(which is stretched), thus it's based on the Sonet and not the Seltos.

I am planning to buy carens but confused in diesel manual or automatic. So plz advice which one is good.
If you'll be driving more in heavy city traffic then we suggest you opt for Automatic Transmission which is easier to use and more comfortable for the driver, while Manual Transmission vehicles are less expensive more involved & are more fun to drive on highways.
