I understand the list. Those players team rely heavily on them to take volume shots each game and heavy minutes. They will be playing 35-40 min a game. Gamecocks play team ball and can spread the minutes. I bet anyone of those players would rather have a championship than on that list.
Soooo, I believe Watkins could made the list of not for the suspension. Her season reminded me of Kamilla’s junior year. You just knew when she got the chance to start her game would blossom. Scoring and rebounding down low started with Kamilla. Even with all of the rebounders returning, Watkins would have been looked at as the one who could average a double-double.

And if Dawn can keep recruiting how she is that may be a while.

Each one of the players was on a team that requires them to put up those type of shots attempts so they're going high scoring numbers and if they didn't put those shots up their team wouldn't be successful because their not built like the gamecocks..I don't have a problem with the players they chose because I believe each one will be a top 5 WNBA pick. If you take each one of those players and put them on the gamecock team they most likely won't have those numbers but they are still high level players. South Carolina has high level players as well. Rebounds, steals, blocks shots, defense has never been created equal and it's like that from grade school, middle school, high school, college, and the NBA. People try to sound intelligent like all these other things matter, maybe to try to validate the changing of an MVP but normally it is about scoring. Player A has 30 pts, 5 turnovers, no steals, no rebounds and no assist. Player B has 22pts, 4 steals, 2 block shots, 3 assist, and 2 rebounds. No one is going to be upset if Player A is the MVP. That is just how basketball has always been. They used to have a commercial with Bill Russell, he says "the game has always been about buckets". If you look at high school rankings sometimes scoring might be the only stat that is revealed. If you go out for basketball, you are expected to be able to score, coaches will think to teach and demand you to do the other things, but if you can't score you will be cut. I personally don't believe it should be this way as well, but it has always been.

Poapoa or Raven don't shoot or score enough to be considered an All American. These girls almost scored 20pts + points a game. But like you said Madison, Juju, and Hannah won't score as much but they are going off of last season numbers. Mostly our girls want is that national championship.....Let's Go get it !!!

Oregon needed someone who could carry them because their team wasn’t good enough to make a deep playoff run as a team. Raven can’t carry a team by herself. Pao can’t either. she couldn’t at Oregon. Juju despite her inefficiency, she carried USC. If it wasn’t for her, only god knows where USC would be because their team wasn’t good before juju arrived. they didn’t win the division nor make a deep playoff run prior to juju’s arrival
