Same. Its weird because some aspects of this series season 1, primarily Azula and Ozai, I prefer to the original, but the series is still a mixed bag for me.

Am I the only one who thinks her bending looks pathetic. How is it that Zuko’s bending looks soo much better, while Azula is supposed to be the gifted bender?
Everyone, please make me as your enemy or something, but I FREAKING HATE TY LEE. Until this day. I even never find her cute, and still prefer both the Cabbage Man and Joo Dee (that one Ba Sing Se lady) over her.
well, this version of avatar live action has its own charm, i see ... ozai is not a total monster that only wanted more and more power ... like in cartoon version. he is more humane, it's like he is not actually a bad person for say ... just he did cruel thing because he wanted to be a good king for his people. and im okay if the character are not 100% the same with cartoon version, just think this avatar is the alternate universe.
I can't believe I have to say this, but I love one-dimensional Ozai much better than this live action version, where they are trying to attempt to make him more rounded by essentially stripping him of his character defining personality traits. Cartoon Ozai was just menacing and commanding. His narcissism and sadistic ways revealed so much of why Zuko and Azula are the way they are. Ozai was the big bad, who wanted to burn the world so that he could rule what's left of it. I wish they expanded on that instead of showing his sympathetic side, which was nonexistent in the series. Not every character has to be sympathetic. They can be evil as long as they are doing something interesting for the story. Omg.
The movie version has only few minutes of screen time and didnt even firebend so I dont get your point how the "Movie that doesnt exist" is much better.
Zuko: My sister is talented but has no honor. Katara: My mother used to talk about honor. Iroh: Well let's change the subject and have some tea. It was even noted when he stated that his children abuse and misused their power that he should not be surprised considering he was both their role model and their chief tormentor. The only reason they didn't rebel against him years ago after the suffering he put them through was because they were never certain of victory.
@@HubiKoshi its not a sign of weakness tho, he had to push the blame on ursa and banish her, if he had openly killed his father he would have been labeled an usurper and dethroned. It was all part of a plot - exchanging zuko's life for azulon's and ursa had to make this decision and was openly called a traitor. He was smart using other people so he never risked failure and he was a skilled bender but why use it if you have a sharp mind that is enough?
Azula's actor actually did a good job here the only thing that bothers me is her thick side bangs it should be thinner.
Agree, it look annoying as heck
Ty Lee esta bien, con Azula y Mai escogieron a las primeras EGirl Influencer que encontraron en Instagram.
Да да, чёлка особено не удалась. Ну и щачло поменьше бы еще ))))))
The scar is on the wrong side.
Her expression at the beginning is amazing, looking back and forth.
1:26 goofy ah move
Kinda weird out about them firebending using an open palm since they usually fire bend with fists
Boy if you dont go somewhere
They did that in the animation as well and even bend it with their minds...wo why is THAT somehow bad?
I thought that too so I checked the compilation vid of Zuko Firebending.
While he predominantly uses fist, he also uses open palm strikes.
cartoon Azula first shown was already bad bitch. Netflix azula has her build to being one, so we see her growth from the start.
I like both iterations
And honestly I prefer this iteration of Ozai, at least from Azula's perspective. Here, he's terrifying but also seems to show pride in her, as opposed to being an intimidating shadow bearing down on both his children.
Besides it's still book 1
What more from the rest of the seasons 👀
Same. Its weird because some aspects of this series season 1, primarily Azula and Ozai, I prefer to the original, but the series is still a mixed bag for me.
Please stop.
Nah, that's dumb. This doesn't describe what Zuko says about Azula and Zuko when they born.
This shows they are basically equals
azula looks so innocent and round 🤣🤣🤣
plump and chubby.
Good. It actually makes her look her age
@@sarahrogers7630not every girl her age is innocent-looking and round.
@@skyhart9926 y’all are just being mean

Azula from Temu
🤣🤣🤣
This series could've been so much more. Too bad they focused on... nothing.
the worst thing about the bending here is they look like they're tap dancing i mean what is this 1:27 ?? firebending is supposed to move like northerrn shaolin kungfu not this riverdance.. and the lighting is just suddenly appear?? its supposed to be charged first
Lol, me lembrou o filme 😂
Her looks is too innocent and cute to be Azula
this azula looks so round whereas the cartoon azula looks sharp and fit. Also her fire is not blue :(
I am honestly quite disappointed in this series. They had the opportunity to bring the animated series to a reality, and they couldn’t even maintain the characters personality.
You can't bring a fictional world to reality
@@kei7540 Lord of the Rings argue otherwise.

Lightning bending was so cool, this actress nailing young Azula character perfectly

Nah lmao this is dog shit 😂
This is not azula
this is such a bad casting choice for azula, shes almost the complete opposite of what azula should be.
I completely agree. they butchered the casting with azula.
i think it’s more of a writing problem than casting
@@mariceuh it is actually both a casting AND a writing problem.
Fatzula can't hurt you
Am I the only one who thinks her bending looks pathetic.
How is it that Zuko’s bending looks soo much better, while Azula is supposed to be the gifted bender?
Azula actress looks like Moana, cute & not intimidating. Azula should be intimidating, slim and fierce looking not cute 😅
As a kid I had a crush 🥰 on Ty Lee
Pathetic.
@@JoutaiSasuLover
Why?
Cuuute! Ty Lee and Zuko are fire nation favorite crushes for many fans. Azula as well, but she's a bit too... y'know, crazy. 😅
Well, that was obvious
Omg.
Cant wait to see
Azula vs Katara & Zuko
Book 3
At first I was a bit meh because the actress didn't feel like Azula. But damn, how wrong was I. This girl killed it!
Flame turning blue for a second is a nice touch
The firebending in this show is terrifying
0:29 here her fire turned blue for a second fuego🔥🔵
IN WHAT DIMENSION IS THIS AZULA
You know netflix screwed up when movie azula has a better casting than this one.
They already screwed up by pre-production, the creators leaving because of creative differences.
The movie version has only few minutes of screen time and didnt even firebend so I dont get your point how the "Movie that doesnt exist" is much better.
They messed up Azula so bad.
The Actress seems more menacing with her hair down…when it’s tied up her face seems softer and less threatening.
They literally cast one of famous Japanese actor and killed him in 30second

Watch the cartoon then 😱😱
Azula is supposed to be proving herself, zuko is this is a bad script and where is the blue fire? Also mai needs to be recast i think azula as well
Ty Lee and Ozai are the only one who looks like their OG counterpart for Azula's gang 😂😂😂
Hope Azula's actress will be changed in the next season cause judging by her looks, this doesn't fit the animation Azula in my opinion.

Exactly this azula looks too adorable which is not wat it's supposed to be
her hair changing every move lmaoo
They ruined Azula. The real Princess Azula was smooth, beautiful, funny, level headed and cunning.
The actress that played Suki should’ve been casted as Azula.
Azula in the animated series- 🥵🔥
Azula in Netflix- 🎃💩
Dude, Azula is like 14 in both series.
Zuko: My sister is talented but has no honor.
Katara: My mother used to talk about honor.
Iroh: Well let's change the subject and have some tea.
Sokka: I don't need tea, I need food, I'm too hungry to even joke right now!
Toph: You look fine to me.
Sokka: Thanks! I...you did that on purpose, didn't you?
That was brutal for Ozai to burn those teenage rebels to death! Not to mention the amuse look on his and Azula's faces! Those teenagers should have known better. Entrance was too easy. 🤦♀️
I liked this version of azula though her lightning bending was a little underwhelming but still good!
They could have edited out 1:21 to 1:32, makes her lightning bending move really clumsily. Lightning bending looks so calculated and precise in the animated series.
Omg yall don’t even have to body shame the actress. She’s doing great.
Body shaming is never cool but lets be honest the actress isn't "doing great"
@@HamAndCheezethen again we’re fans, the directors casted the actress for a reason to play Azula and we’re just not seeing it yet.

They fed her too much in Fire Nation.
azula has blue fire. And Azula is supposed to be calm, smart, tactical and manipulate. never angry emotionally.
They depicted her wrong. And they seem to have failed to notice that most firebenders Firebend with a closed fist, not an open palm.
Her cheeks are too squishy to be Azula 🥺
they flopped at casting azula and mai so bad these two was supposed to have a siren face and they both casted doe ones that’s why it’s not giving at allll…
and azula is not giving azula at all in terms of both visual and acting😭 they did these two actors dirty now people are shaming them. they are good actors but they don’t fit the characters at all. its like taking away the femme fatale roles from angelina jolie. it just not giving im sorry…
I was hoping they would cast someone like 666cultclare666 (from tiktok) as azula… what a waste of opportunity.

It's probably because of the armor suit making the actress have a oversized body.
I agree. this actress is chubby and has a plump round face, and less intimidating. azula live action is also whiny and unconfident. azula cartoon is the opposite of what this live action actress is.
