Granted, I pretty much just to watch TH-cam and online shopping or checking email, it is been perfect. Still is. If you have small children or boomer parents, it's the perfect set up. My parents can barely turn on their phone but they stay on the iMac since I kind of dedicated it to the family room for anyone to use. Its simple, looks good, and affordable and will prolly last another 20 years.
I just picked up one of these used for £550 locally. It's the 512Gb SSSD, 8GB, 4 portsversion. Same thing on amazon is £1200 my parents are going to love it.
I just purchased a green 24" M1 iMac 8GB 256 for $500 used. I installed a Samsung 2TB T7 external and keep ALL my files on there including Apple Music, Downloads, and all other folders I could relocate to external. There are a few like Books that can't be moved. It's in excellent condition and have been using it for the last month. My previous desktop was a late 2015 iMac 2017 i5 upgraded the RAM and Fusion drive to SSD. The new M1 is insanely fast and I'm extremely happy with it and don't miss the 27" size. I did more photo and video editing in the past but I don't do much of that anymore. So for my use case, office work, internet, basic photo editing, music managment, etc etc, this computer is perfect. 🤩 I'm not to worried about the file swap wear issue on the SSD because there is 240GB available for swapping! lol Everything else is on the external. Figure it'll be YEARS before the SSD MIGHT go bad because of file swap. 🤷♂ And for the total price of $650 with external....not much to lose!
@@JokeJunction_haha I've purchased Macs on release date and paid those prices too! No worries. Worth it. I just wanted to try the 24" screen for a low price to find out if i'd miss the 27". If I did then I would have purchased the Studio Display but since the 24" is fine I'll stick with this machine for a few years then buy a new one later.
@@djisnotgood I found someone local on Facebook marketplace. They lived in a nice area, met at their house, computer was clean, ensured it was signed out of Apple account and ran diagnostics to ensure everything was working.
@@iNICK20 yup I picked it up it was missing the keyboard and mouse but that was no big deal I have a Logitech Mx mechanical Mac keyboard and a Mx master 3 mouse. Thing was like new.
Honestly a used Intel iMac would be a better deal. The M1 iMac lacks a RAM option over 16GB which means it won't really be too useful 4-6 years from now, You can get a 100% maxed out Intel iMac for $3500, and that's with 8TB of Storage and 128GB of RAM. Most people don't need that, so for $1000 you could find a true steal of a deal. I've seen $1500 64GB 4TB 5700 XT iMacs, not a bad deal at all. On the cheaper side, you can find an i7 32GB 1TB Vega 20 21.5" iMac for $800, also not that bad of a deal.

Was that... Minecraft used as benchmarking tool for performance evaluation @.@ Jesus..... Run some actual benchmark to compare the performance.. this is fooling people. Please go watch those video from a tech channel to see actual comparisons of M1 vs M3/M4s

Do you find an M1, 24 with 16 RAM/ 256 GB good in terms of specs, cuz RAM is more important than optional SSD after all?
Good video. Totally realistic to what the typical user will do with their computer.
What game was that?
You must be rich, upgrading almost every year. Too low - stick a book under it, agree a height adjustable screen would be a better option
I bought it used, reviewed it, and sold it for a $100 profit.
I just bought this so I can work from home is it worth it?
Absolutely!
