    Two amazing people sitting next to each other. Put Mr. Rodgers next to them and my childhood would have been complete.

    I totally agree with Levar. Why do we always see a dystopian future in movies? Why is the future always dark, concrete, and metallic?

      because otherwise we would all be wearing pajamers everyday, even in outer space. spacer pajamies

      Samus 1818 it is more realistic and because when you consider the future you have to realise that like today we are unable to hide and unable to communicate in secret. the government continually gains more power over time. it is likely we will destroy most of ourselves. and i dont even see sci fi as that i see it as too optimistic to be realistic. which is positive sure but i doubt accurate. technology is growing too fast for people to keep up. people in power will soon have the ability to stay in power unchallenged. like north korea. by soon i mean in the next couple hundred years or as soon as shit hits the fan. we are lucky to be alive right now imo.

      Explain how the Bible and science go hand and hand. Because if you take the Bible word for word, it absolutely doesn’t so elaborate.

    there is a difference between observational science (the earth is round) and historical science (age of the earth).......you can observe the earth is round, but you have to have "faith"in an interpretation as to the age of the earth.l

    • @JacobMDittman
      @JacobMDittman 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well no we can prove the age of things i.e rocks, skeletons, trees, how many snow falls have occurred in a cold icy tundra. Scientist use observable data, and use the test of ions to tell the age of something.

    The definition of miracle suggests something that is impossible except by means that transcend the physical limitations of the universe. Example: current theory of special relativity for all intensive purposes states that the speed of light (c) is the speed limit of all matter in the universe; however, if something were to travel from here to Pluto in 2 seconds, then that could be classified as miraculous.
    Miracles are improbable, not impossible.

    • @JacobMDittman
      @JacobMDittman 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly and miracles don’t exist. Do you think miracles do? Because everything else that you said was correct. One thing though, it would be viewed as a phenomenon and not a miracle, that has religious connotation.

    Using several radiometric dating, scientists have found the oldest rocks estimated to be 3.8-3.9 billion years old, give or take a few. This number is more than one-thousand therefore the earth is older than that.

    • @JacobMDittman
      @JacobMDittman 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s even older than 6,000. I don’t see how Christians overlook this. There is no recorded data by humans of dinosaurs existing within their lifetime; but somehow they existed within the timeline as humans, in also a short period of time. Also it’s impossible to dispute their existence because we have actual fossils of them, which is in fact evidence of the past.

    i feel like to be a scientist who doesn't believe in god, which is fine, should still be a perplexing situation. the fact we are all here to just ssit and ponder about life and the infinite future after we die. its worth thinking about. and it is never brought up by atheists. you dont have to be religious to appreciate the wonder of it all.

    I like the very 'scientific' statement Bill makes that there is nothing after this life..... has he tested that through repeatable and observable methods?

    • @JacobMDittman
      @JacobMDittman 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Let me ask you what you remember before you were born, what memories do you have of the life before you had none? It’s a rhetorical question and the obvious answer is none. And we know you don’t without having to be you, because you weren’t alive and didn’t have a conscious, no body, no pulse, no brain with activity; it’s the same way when you die. When we die for an example, the heart stops, following all the organs and systems soon die including the brain with no blood circulation and no oxygen; then our body precedes to go through the stages of rigor Mortis and decay over time. We’re able to function, visualize events and create memories based off of those events because of brain activity; without that we’re nothing. Everything in our body works together, and in the absence of homeostasis all together we can be nothing at all.

    I'm sure glad the bible isn't a science book because science books are constantly being re-written. One must choose to believe the speculation of man or the revelation of God.

    How can you prove the age of the earth people say? There is evidence. Layers. Different species in these layers in the ground. Just like a tree. It has rings. Earth is the same. You can see the seasons of the past in the ground. Hard evidence you religious people
