Intro
With several classes having exams today, you led a small study group session yesterday after school with three other students: one of your classmates named Grace, an underclassman named Cynthia, and another mutual friend. What you weren't expecting was for both Cynthia and Grace to confess their feelings for you today, nor were you at all prepared for how that conflict between them might escalate and how possessive one of them could be over you. Caught in their crossfire and backed into a corner, which one might you pick?

I looked it up and Megadere is used to refer to someone who has a very large deredere side, or in other word someone who is 'very' lovestruck, which is often shown in the form of strong adoration and large displays of affection.
So a yandere?

@@andrewtalken5167 That's the idea! Megaderes are the obsessive "fangirl" types, but as you said, something of a deredere whose affections are cranked to 11. Grace and Cynthia obviously have some overlapping traits (Grace is the one with the voice recordings, for example), but the difference is that Cynthia (the word origin I've seen is that _yandere_ comes from 病んでる _yanderu_ "to be mentally ill") is generally willing to go to any extreme she deems necessary (up to and including unlawful acts), regardless of what the listener might want. That's actually my main issue with yanderes-the lack of consent. Yanderes come off to me as extremely narcissistic in an "I know what's best for you" sort of way (...Cynthia even says as much); Grace is still arguably just as obsessive, but the important thing is that she's willing to respect boundaries (and even offers to delete the recordings-something Cynthia would never do).
The point of the script was "Hey, yanderes aren't the only obsessive dere type. You can have 'girl absolutely fawning over you' without it being _quite_ so unhealthy of a dynamic" ^_^

oops I should have included it in the description! Lil even put together a helpful note in the script: Note: Here, the usage of megadere is in line with the term's understanding in the Western world, i.e., as an amplification of the deredere archetype (as mega- "very" + デレデレ deredere "lovey-dovey, lovestruck"). Megadere tend to be obsessive, affectionate and fawning, almost "fangirl"-like, but without many of the more concerning characteristics of yanderes (ヤンデレ yandere < 病んでる yanderu "to be mentally ill" + デレデレ).
