Understandably, Titus is often thought to be Blair's son. He is not; Robet Blair nicknamed Titus 'Lil Blair' and 'Baby Blair' often because he recognized how close Titus' voice was to his own. He would often tell people both of us were his son, because he knew us from the time we were children, and our parents took us to see the Violinaires when we were little. Blair had a big heart. Sure do miss him and shot ...
Yes. Robert Blair recruited me. His quote was, "once a Violinaire, always a Violinaire" More importantly to me, he spent time with me whenever I saw him, from the time I was a boy. I remember seeing him and Shot n Smitty when I was about 11. 'Satisfied with Jesus' was the first 45 dad bought of them 4 me, about 1969. I was crazy about them then, and Blair knew how to nurture relationships. I went to see him whenever I can. And I would often drive to Charlotte to visit when he lived there.
groups lime this can't be duplicated. friends and family have followed your music for many years in the state of: Alabama. Where can we find this solid gold music today! please respond... your music has blessed so many people. this is none like the old fashion gospel music. love
Where is this group now, are you all still singing together? I know Lil Blair is with the other group, but I love the Spirit that surrounds this group better.
Could you tell me/us more about Robert Blair the man. I heard him mention "Family" in his recording of "Dr. Jesus" when he gave his testimony about how sick he was in Tyler Texas. Post it here and i'll keep checking.
Blair was a big jokester ... he loved to tell jokes and he had a big sense of humor. He loved Tommy Ellison, and Tommy loved him ... but, he would joke Tommy. Tommy was more reverent towards him, tho, almost like a little brother.
