I'm a fan of niji jp but kinda only rely on the little tls we have but can I ask is this event really a big deal? Because once I joined the live of this and furen's solo game of this the amount of live viewer for this was astonishing. I was confused af 😂
yeah nijikoshien is huge lol. baseball is a pretty big deal in japan to begin with, and koshien is a relatively big event in nijisanji as well. there’s tons of livers involved and it’s really fun to watch stories and narratives unfold, and its always different every year too (im watching furen’s streams for tkfr scraps but that’s just me lol)
It's pretty much the biggest yearly Niji event that involves almost every liver. This year has 165 livers from every branch other than VirtualReal, not including the coaches and Maimoto, as players. I recommend checking out Ganneko's video on what Nijisanji Koshien is, they explain it pretty well
Summer Koshien has the same gravitas as US college football, it's one of the most watched sport in Japan. Imagine making a team in 2k/Fifa based on your friends and working your way to the top, with personal drama and storylines here and there. That's Niji Koshien, pretty much a staple of summer.
ngl this really shows how segregated overseas fans are, nijikou is easily the biggest and most storied event. though i guess noone is really to blame, the game is hard to follow if you don't have basic comprehension and gameplay itself is honestly not all that good for clipping imo
