Either Lady Macbeths : Clinton, Pelosi, Victoria Nuland (nee Nudelmam, I think),Krista Freeland, Arden, Baerbock, Kaja Callas, Liz Cheney, Maria-Corina Machado, Salome Zourabichvili, or useful idiotic Barbies: Sanna Marin, Meloni, Julia Sebutinde, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, Kamala Harris, Magdalena Andersson, Natalia Gavrilita .... oh dear, I really can't go on, depressing!
@@Interpretingtradition please can we add that epitome of evil Victoria (Cookie) Nuland to the list? Have been unable to speak that name since 2014 Ukraine Maidan without adding “that witch”. Krista Freeland is in this cluster as well. Both had parents that anglicised their surnames with an added twist of “land” in each. People can make of that what they like. The latter, Freeland, has a collaborating grandfather in the mix & Nuland’s husband Kagan, a nasty piece of work. Am not sure either or any of those in your list Lali, would be capable of a conscience that bothered them or drove them mad, as did Lady Macbeth’s. Loved your Macbeth analysis. I come from the era when we (in Australia) studied one Shakespearian play per year in high school. I was blessed to have had wonderful English teachers & yes, time to revisit some of those plays with a lifetime of experience in tow. Much appreciation Marianna

Hi, I thought about your channel the other day when reading the Great Inquisitor by Doestoevky. You might want to read this (quick) chapter from the Brothers Karamazov on your channel, a well-suited piece of writing for the topical preoccupations of the channel. Apologies for an unwanted peice of advise.
I think this quotation might be relevant. Maybe especially in the context of facts and emotions. George Orwell saw the poem it comes from as a remarkably prescient description of the totalitarian ideologies that were in embryo at the time and of the resultant regimes. It was written during the Irish war of independence in 1919 by WB Yeats. Here is the quotation, for what it’s worth: The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity. If you think reading this was a waste of time I totally understand, but I will curse you under my breath. Good luck!
I don’t think any of us are born evil, pace Calvin. I am sure any of us can become evil, or become saints. I know I am somewhere in between and much too far to the wrong side, but I think that grace is there. I just have to accept it. That sounds easy, but….
Would you be interested in doing a Spanish political history series. I realise its a massive subject. Im trying to understand the Valley of the Fallen controversy xx
The Benedictine Sisters of Pienza Italy have been receiving all kinds of persecution and deputations from the Vatican, and from the Marshall of the Carabiniere (Top Tier Italian Police) visiting the monastery. Just Imagine the armed police at the front door of the monastery asking to see the Abbess. The local Bishop and even the Mayor of the nearby big town all making life extremely difficult for the sisters because they refuse to leave their home. The authorities have even visited the relatives of the nuns all over Italy to get them involved and cause more problems. It’s wickedness
It sounds very wicked.I didn’t know anything about the situation you describe until I read what you wrote but it does remind me of the constant humiliations and restrictions the Church dealt out to Padre Pio. Because of his life and testimony I believe in the Church more. The Church’s ministers may be as black as Judas, or as vainglorious as Peter in his earlier days, and, of course, even good clerics have to be very careful about claimed miraculous happenings or a cult gathering around someone, living or dead. I hope that doesn’t sound heartless or smug, though I know I have often been both.
Ursula Von der Leyen is surely a modern day Lady Macbeth. Although I wish not to exaggerate the evil of Shakespeare’s character.

Arrests, arrests, arrests, re-education.....before you know it , you will read about disappearances...
Or maybe those disappearances will be unreported. Just trying to cheer you up!
