Uh? My TV went silent over a decade ago. I just heard of this ad. WTF? And to think, I have used Dove because I like the clean feeling it gives my skin...never once ever thought of connecting it to body size of type. That blows my mind. Geez....what kind of heroine are you people shooting up?
I appreciate the message, but it would be nice if I didn't have to watch a 1:30 minute ad every time i want to watch a video. Adblock isn't catching this one at all for me... I liked the ad the first time, but after seeing it 20-30 times when i just want to watch a quick clip is making it a little too much for me
This commercial chas nothing to do with their product, at the end the brand comes so out of the blue that if you ask me 10 minutes later I wouldn't remember it.
your all beautiful just the way you are and I hope you never change the way you look and they can't tell you how you are suppose to look because they aren't you.
Same, I hate it when I'm "forced" to a watch an advertisement that I can ignore or just not click on. Especially when the advertisement promotes body positivity and self love.
Canned Bread I actually fell on this video because I like Dove's engagement video - I found that one beautiful, sweet, and empowering. Nothing felt stuffed down my throat in that one. And I have some issues with feminism's body positivity and self love movements and such. To be frank, I'm not the best at explaining it (Lauren Southern and Steven Crowder are much better versed at explaining things like this, I believe you should check them out) I guess my main issue is you can't make someone accept you. Either they do or they do not. You cannot make anyone feel anything. True, no one should treat you wrong based upon how you look, but you cannot make someone ELSE change their preferences just to suit your needs. You don't need the approval of others to love yourself. In fact, this video explains my point of view a bit better: th-cam.com/video/IMBb4StJ4BY/w-d-xo.html ((Best part is 2:31 ))
If other people's opinions do not matter to you; then, why are you starring in video talking about other people's opinions about you? You do care about their opinions, because it makes you feel bad. And, now you are attempting to censor anybody that has an opinion. Now, tell me why is a soap company is pandering towards an ideology?
They start off the video with others' opinions about the women because it later shows that those opinions aren't true when it comes to loving yourself. Your beauty, your body, your say. I don't know exactly why Dove is leaning towards an ideology, as you said, but I'm not complaining about it. Even if this is just an ad to increase sales, it inspired many people out there - not only girls, but boys, too. Some people of all ages may be very sensitive when it comes to others' opinions, so even if they don't purchase Dove's products, I'm sure the company is happy just to inspire them.
Wht does the vid have anything to do with the soap. U guys should’ve created an ad on Wht was positive in using the soap or Wht makes it different from other brands.
As a woman I can say this video is so beautiful that I can't even believe it's an advertisement! (p.s: I'm also kinda surprised that you are a woman and didn't like it lol it's not everyday you see representations like that)
@@lai8544 I see representation all of the time. I don't need it pushed in my face as I see it as pandering, not genuine. It's not amazing anymore to see women in these roles and that's great because its normal. The only issue I have ever had with my gender is feminists telling me I can't do something or it will be near impossible because of the patriarchy. So glad I didn't listen as I have excelled in a male dominated work force with no issues and have many of my peers support me just like I support them because we see the hard work we have put in to get there. I have earned their respect and support just like many of them have earned mine.
What are you even talking about, all shows focus on is representation now. Even when it's ridiculous. Got an episode of a tv show about marie antoinette? Make sure some of the aristocrats are played by black people! The extremes are silly. Representation is important, and also mainstream now. This commercial is pandering to people who make decisions purely on emotion and not facts. I buy dove because my skin likes it. Not because a commercial about a pretty boxer made me feel good.
So inspiring , most of my friends are joining beauty pageant , while I did Karate and Aikido and now doing Muay thai and Brazilian jiu jitsu, but I still think I am beautiful :)
Geraldine Butterfly You absolutely “say anything like that”. All you had to do was leave out the last part of the sentence and you would have been fine. But instead you put it out there and showed your true colors. You can call me a troll all you want but your cognitive dissonance exposed you. Do a search for “Kelly Osborne The View clean toilets”. You just did the exact same thing as she did. People always thinking bad thoughts? Yup. Just like you and Kelly Osborne.

yes i love a good powerful vid like this
i love dove so much
The first girl reminds me of Harley Quinn. I love this campaign
Where is Judith's story and the link to it?
I agree! I'm excited to hear their story :)
I'm a male and before anyone starts. I'm just saying my opinion, anyway these Dove videos are pretty. When it's a new Dove ad I don't skip it. and yes feminist is annoying but sometimes just deal with it. no need to cry about it
Glad I could figure out a way to give this Ad a thumbs up. Marvelous ! It makes me want to buy Dove to support you spreading such a good message. =)
Who's the 'boyish' girl? Love her look
Same! She is so pretty and empowering.
Rain
Rain Dove an androgynous model
Bianca B
I never saw anything love is more than anybody can do whatever they want.( great message)
Can ya'll calm down? Nobody will chop off your head if you decide to be diffrent. If you wanna fight go fight. If you wanna dress or look a certain way go look how you want. Get your dream job ignore others. Can you stop worrying about other people??!? We don't need commercials to know this come on..
Chances are we won't be decapitated in America for acting or looking differently nor for pursuing nontraditional goals; not like in Sedan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Saudi Arabia or Guatemala.
Nationalities don't make us any less susceptible to bias.
Also, women can't 'just have' or 'just go for' their dream job. Here are some links that offer support and help explain why...

+willowakiokami before i make my point, plz summarize what you have shared to me in those links. I do not read very well bur you are telling me that not all girls can just 'go for it' because of some people prefer to higher certain people because of how their names sound and how they look.
correct?
+Alien “THUNDER DOOM” Draco X *but
love the message! and what's the name of the bg music
The first girl reminds me so much of Harley Quinn in the first six seconds
I LOVE THIS!!!! Brought tears to my eyes!!!!!
How did this make you cry???????
Lmao this made u cry? Pathetic
Uh?
My TV went silent over a decade ago.
I just heard of this ad. WTF?
And to think, I have used Dove because I like the clean feeling it gives my skin...never once ever thought of connecting it to body size of type.
That blows my mind. Geez....what kind of heroine are you people shooting up?
I absolutely love the strong women commercials.

1 million views now (/-\)
+Eileen Dunn 3 million :D
+Griselda Rivera It's because it's an advertisement. Very few views are actually from people clicking the video.
I appreciate the message, but it would be nice if I didn't have to watch a 1:30 minute ad every time i want to watch a video. Adblock isn't catching this one at all for me... I liked the ad the first time, but after seeing it 20-30 times when i just want to watch a quick clip is making it a little too much for me
Or you could just sell a product
This commercial chas nothing to do with their product, at the end the brand comes so out of the blue that if you ask me 10 minutes later I wouldn't remember it.
Roger that
your all beautiful just the way you are and I hope you never change the way you look and they can't tell you how you are suppose to look because they aren't you.
so so beautiful
i'm obsessed with this!
gave me goosebumps. this us truly inspiring and beautiful. Be brave, be strong, be happy, be you. 💙🍋
I AM SO HAPPY TO SEE THIS KIND OF VIDEO
I find this to be very inspiring!
I LOVE THIS! SO EMPOWERING!
i love this especially. the girl who said only sknny girls can dress better wen i see this
everygirl is beautiful. how they are
Why would anyone dislike this?
Because this commercial is just feminist propaganda. I don't like anything being shoved down my throat.
+Cynthia King same. I disliked it
Same, I hate it when I'm "forced" to a watch an advertisement that I can ignore or just not click on. Especially when the advertisement promotes body positivity and self love.
Canned Bread
my thoughts in a nutshell
In fact, this video explains my point of view a bit better: th-cam.com/video/IMBb4StJ4BY/w-d-xo.html ((Best part is 2:31 ))
There all beautiful not even lying I want many of there features
Ok but how is this related to SJW's it's just encouraging girls to not let what other people say get in the way of what they want to do
True. It's just giving confidence to insecure women. Something SJW would be "WOMEN ARE MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN MEN!1!1!"
Where was this ad shot at?
This commercial has nothing to say about the soap product, not into seeing a political narrative 🙄
What’s political about celebrating diversity? Gtfo
This video is so beautiful!
Oh my god when I saw Rain Dove in this I screamed she is so beautiful also Heather would make a good Harley Quinn in looks and her personality
😳😍
Mighty Boosh if every dude you see on crack is a model then yeah
This is my favorite video!
Probably to give all the others hope? To show them that people's opinions should not matter to them.
Or am I wrong?
Aniyah Vanessa Okay then, just ignore me. That's pretty cool.
Love it. Love that power
I love this, thank you dove!
Wht does the vid have anything to do with the soap. U guys should’ve created an ad on Wht was positive in using the soap or Wht makes it different from other brands.
As a woman I can honestly say this is super cringy. What does this have to with the product?
@@gigglingchicken8444 They waste the money because nobody would remember what was the product because the commercial has nothing to do with it.
this is so inspiring omg!!! love this
who is the "boyish" looking girl? she's stunning 😍
Rain Dove
So inspiring , most of my friends are joining beauty pageant , while I did Karate and Aikido and now doing Muay thai and Brazilian jiu jitsu, but I still think I am beautiful :)
So you think women who do martial arts aren’t beautiful? Ouch. Burn on all the successful women in the UFC.
@@elephantgrass631 did I say anything like that, do not assume words , it is about me
@@elephantgrass631 Some people do not stop thinking bad stuff everywhere, it is up to you to create your own problems, stress and bad vibes, so sad
@@elephantgrass631 unhappy person and troll alert hhahah
Geraldine Butterfly You absolutely “say anything like that”. All you had to do was leave out the last part of the sentence and you would have been fine. But instead you put it out there and showed your true colors. You can call me a troll all you want but your cognitive dissonance exposed you. Do a search for “Kelly Osborne The View clean toilets”. You just did the exact same thing as she did. People always thinking bad thoughts? Yup. Just like you and Kelly Osborne.
