Y'know. Ignoring the whole Ryu X Sakura shipping bits. This is genuinely interesting as far SF subplots go. Sakura talking to Ryu about life beyond Street Fighting is something I don't think anybody, not even Ken (Ryu's best friend/brother) has ever confronted Ryu about before. Maybe that's what Ryu needs to get over the Satui No Hado. To look beyond his fist.

For example, Ryu, Ken, Chun Li and the rest of the original cast were never supposed to be in third strike, in fact if you pay attention to the "lore", Alex is actually the champion and main protagonists of third strike.

MajinBros For the most part yes. But when it comes to Sakura and Menat's stories, I think the art is really good. They feel more energetic compared to the other story art for the other characters.
The artstyle for the stories are amazing. Opinions vary but I cant see how anyone can dislike them. Menat and Sakuras expressions are equally precious imo. Now I just need Elena added in the mix and I can die of diabetus overload

Two things:
1. Sakura actually did bring up a point to Ryu that I kinda always wished to hear: What happens after you achieve all that strength? Is it really worth it to be the strongest warrior and nothing else, especially with no one to pass on your legacy? I know people may think otherwise, but I do hope that Capcom does decide to ship Ryu x Sakura at some point.
2. I don't care what people say, the art for Sakura in story felt spot-on for her.
i agree with all these points also yes the art is really good and i ship these two forever and also most of the reason for having strength like ryus is to protect something the hold dear which sadly he does not i bet if he finally has a family he will gain even greater power

@@crawlingboy Didn't Sakura break him out of the Satsui no hadou in the SF IV anime and didn't sakura being punched by Bison cause Ryu to lose control in Alpha 3? I might have that wrong, but she has a powerful affect on Ryu.
He may care for her more than he realizes and keep a distance because he thinks those feelings are a weakness.
It would be nice to see him come to terms with his feelings for Sakura and realize that fighting to protect her is a greater motivation and that she balances his energy, keeping the Dark Hadou at bay.
I can imagine Ryu finally accepting Sakura as his disciple in order to train her to be strong enough to protect the family she wishes to have one day, but also to keep her close and protect the one he
secretly cares for. They spend a year traveling the world street fighting and training, while Ryu teaches her everything he knows. Meanwhile, Sakura practices skills of being a good wife and mother with Ryu, making him meals and looking after him. Over time they fall in love and get married.
@@bw4348 I don't think Ryu keeps a distance because he thinks of those feelings as a weakness (if he has any, they've never really been clear on that). It's more that he's too focused on his path to self-improvement as a fighter and is not particularly concerned about changing his way of life since he doesn't feel like he reached his goal yet. In fact, this kind of mentality might have been the catalyst to Ryu accidentally awakening Satsui no Hado in the first place.
Although FYI, in Street Fighter comics by UDON, Ryu DID take on Sakura as his disciple. They didn't really take it further than that, though. Interestingly enough, there it kinda went the opposite way for a moment, in that it didn't help Ryu to keep Satsui no Hado in check, but instead Sakura's feelings for him ended up awakening its power in her instead when she wasn't able to save him.
@@accelriderx2931 You're right. I got caught up on the comics afterward and her feelings did lead her to the dark side. Now we'd have to be concerned that if they had a child if that kid would be plagued by the Satsui no hadou and stalked by Akuma as well.

Street fighting is a respected profession.
How does Ryu even support himself? Being a serious martial artist probably requires a pretty balanced and healthy diet, I can't see him getting something like that just from begging on the street.

Affan Sami plus Kazuya from Tekken was 28 when Jun(who was 22) was trying to arrest him at first for the obvious crimes that most think he done in his own free will which was Devil really. They fell for each through the spiritual attraction their powers had and plus Jun did love him. Ain't nothing wrong because Ryu age is sf1-sf5 including the alpha series he is still in his twenties except for sf3. His birth date was revealed but they later ignore the whole ordeak through the sequels presented to keep him longer.

Yeah. All jokes aside, seeing her actually worried about life and stuff was really surprising. Pleasently so.

Possibly the best out of all the storymodes in SF5. Only gripe was that her rivalry with Karin was rather in the background. That was what I was most jazzed about seeing.

You guess have to understand, Sakura isn't getting any younger. All that estrogen of emotions she had bottled up inside for Ryu has finally revealed itself the more she became mature. Which ended with her low-key wanting to be with Ryu. I mean do you thinkthe girl traveled around the world just to say hi? She wanted to advance in her life in hope that Ryu would be apart of it.
Favorite waifu Sakura returns in SFV! After seeing the story she's still cute and really has developed as a character now that she has thought about her life and worries about how things will turn out in the future. nice her dorkly side still appears which is adorable since SF4

This ending really made me feel like the story really is going to end soon.
After seeing the story for sakura it makes sense how capcom is trying to diminish all the characters into the ones included in SF3.

It's not though. It was supposed to be a sorta-reboot with a new cast. Then they brought in Ryu and Ken so that the fans wouldn't riot. Even in the final game and it's sequel there really isn't closure (Gill and the Illuminati are out there doing their schemes, Ryu is on his warrior's path, etc.).

whatever the future may end up like, I feel this was the most logical path for Sakura to grow as a character, maturity wise, and she finally realize her own feelings, which were a bit to obvious since the begining but she was a hyperactive teenager at the time so makes sense it took her time to realize

Some beautiful things about this story:
1) Sakura has grown up, not only physical, also emotionally, getting in a point where she doubts for what are she fighting for… that means… SAKURA IS THE ONLY CHARACTER IN THE SAGA WHO REALLY HAS MATURED
2) Capcom do so well this story that they get SO realistic with “she’s like every teenager! SHE IS POOR” XD
3) Ryu have no fucking idea of how babies are made
4) Sakura is thirsty af
5) Sakura’s brother has been watching that screen since 90’s
6) this is the best story by so far in the saga (out of joke, is beautiful)

Ryu has his mind set on becoming the strongest fighter, that's all he needs, he's already very mature, he's already conquered his inner demon, what more do you want from the guy?
