Notice how it gets darker and darker in the video-- I was filming on my porch just around sundown. Also if you listen carefully at 4:40 and 4:48 you can hear the "Shampoo lady" who walks around in my neighborhood selling shampoo from a cart. Other than that enjoy this episode of....GEOGRAPHY MORE!!
Can I ask you something about the UK video. You said after you have done all the countries of the UN in alphabetical order you might do the countries inside the uk. I'm just wondering about Northern Ireland. The problem is the uk government doesn't recognise the region as a country but as a Province of the U.K. Also they're culture is based on the war between Catholics and Protestants and the war between Irish nationalists and Irish unionists. They're culture is I'm my opinion all but too similar to the culture and traditions of the Republic of Ireland.
At this rate you won't finish the geography now until I find a spouse, have kids. Knowing my luck I will died lonely and sad knowing geography now didn't reach country letter z.
+Zarko Cekovski It depends. Where I live, there are... like, no Burger King here, and a lot of McDonald's. But junk food is not good. Some ex communist states still are healthy like they used to be, am I right?
I am from Malta and I had no trouble visiting Andorra for a few days whilst on holiday in Catalunya. The country is beautiful, the food is scrumptious and the people are very nice.
+Mark Said I guess he meant that visiting Andorra is quite hard without going to the Schengen area first :) not that it's hard to visit there generally
+Michael Not so much Northern French as well as French in general. Like most dominant languages of large European countries, the French language only really started to predominate in all of France in the 18th century. By the time the term Langues d'Oïl was coined, French was just one of the many of these languages, spoken in the Île-de-France. Norman, Picard and Walloon are some of the other languages that survive to this day (although they've all been superceded by French in importance), but there were many, many others...
Antiguanwriter here. I like that you got our name right and dug in to the who and the what of us a little bit more (better than the first vid imo). Glad I decided to watch...it was the self-correction in the preview that made me keep watching. I love when people, especially people not from the culture, try to get it right.
I remember finding your Afghanistan video about a week after it was uploaded. I love your videos and I'm hopeful for a long and successful TH-cam channel. Keep up the good work, we all appreciate it
Hello! I'm brazilian, and coincidentally or not, I stated a project in which I search for every country in the world (your culture, your geography, your politics, your points of interest, and things like that...). Your channel is helping me a lot, I'm grateful about it! Sorry for my English, I'm not a native speaker. I just want you to know that it is a good job, you are helping people understand the place they live. It is awesome. Bye. :)
Your videos are the best on youtube keep educating us on countries we have never heard of before you're doing a great job bringing people together this is exactly what's missing in the world we need to learn about each other in order to appreciate and accept our differences SALUTE
Actually the fact that Andorra is not part of the Schengen Agreement matters a lot because for example, even though there's no border control between France and Spain there's a border control between these countries and Andorra as well as restrictions such as the money you can bring or take from it. Relevant since Andorra is considered a tax haven by many people. The Eastern Caribbean Dollar is a cool idea. They are small countries so having just one central bank for all of them is the practical solution.
at the pace you're going, ill be astounded if you even finish these, they're amazing videos don't get me wrong! but stuff like this is slowing you down dude!
#objection! I am a native Spanish speaker and I use to use the Royal Spanish Dictionary! Unless you are feminist, it's extremely rare that native English speakers do the same for the English dictionaries. According to the US dictionary Antigua has 2 pronunciations: i.word.com/idictionary/Antigua
+Hedley Quintana That is the US dictionary, in Antigua( and pretty much every other part of the English speaking Caribbean for that matter) the English they speak is has rules that are from the English dictionary not the American.
Declan Newton Cambrige dictionary says the same: dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/antigua-and-barbuda?q=Antigua+and+Barbuda The Oxford dictionary also says the same: www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/antigua?q=Antigua
For those of you who don't know much about Cricket, Paul did mention that Antigua and Barbuda has produced some of the best cricketers to have played the game but they don't have an International team of their own. The international team which represents the country is West Indies (they also changed their name to Windies as recently as June 2017). The West Indies team comprises representation from several countries and dependencies. Cricket West Indies, the governing body of the team, consists of the six cricket associations of Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Leeward Islands and Windward Islands. The Leeward Islands and Windward Islands are administered by Leeward Islands Cricket Association and Windward Islands Cricket Board of Control respectively. The sovereign countries that have participation in the West Indies (Windies) Cricket team are: Antigua and Barbuda (L) Barbados Dominica (W) Grenada (W) Guyana Jamaica Saint Lucia (W) Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (W) Trinidad and Tobago Saint Kitts and Nevis (Both represented separately in Leeward Islands Cricket Association) The British Overseas Territories that have participation in the West Indies (Windies) Cricket team are: Anguilla (L) Montserrat (L) British Virgin Islands (L) Additionally, Constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Sint Maarten (L) and US Virgin Islands (L), a territory of the United States also participate in the team. West Indies had the most dominant team throughout the 70s and 80s and they won the first 2 World Cups in 1975 and 1979 and were the runner ups in the third one where they lost the final to India in 1983. The team has suffered tough times since after coming in the new millennia in the ODI and Test format. However, they are the hot heads in the shorter format of T20 and are the only team to win the T20 world cup twice which they won in 2012 and 2016. They are loved here in India and are very popular.
It's interesting about Andorra that people in Spain (specially from Catalonia, where I'm actually from) go shopping there and even though it's still common doing that, years ago it was a huge tradition. It's really difficult to get in and it's actually REALLY cold!
Молодец! Good job with the Russian pronunciation brotha. You have better pronunciation than many Russian language learners I know here in Moscow, Russia. Keep up the good work.
Looking forward to the Poland video, even though I know it may take years before we get there, my ancestors are from the north of Poland, like Gdansk and Ostrołeka
I know Catalan is a different language but anybody who can speak Spanish and has a little knowledge of French can understand Catalan. So saying it "has similar traits" is kind of wrong in this case. Catalan is VERY similar to Spanish. .
+ComAntNeLib Extracted from wikipedia: "Spanish, also called Castilian, is a Romance language that originated in the Castile region of Spain and today has hundreds of millions of native-speakers across the world."
***** I suggest you to look up for "Spanish" in wikipedia and read the part where it says: "Names of the language". There you might understand the uses of the words spanish and castillian (and there is a nice map showing where the terms castillian and spanish are used) In a nutshell wheter you use spanish or castillian depends on from where you are (region or country) If you would ask me what language do I speak, I would asnwer spanish, not castillian.
***** I dont know if you found my suggestion agressive if so I didnt mean that. But again, read that part on wikipedia and you will understand the uses of spanish or castillian. Saying that spanish as a language doesnt exist is wrong. Just a question: are you spanish?

I understand, but when talking of certain nations such as Angola, or Bosnia, it's always better to have a bit more of political background than for Barbados for example.
You've got Nepal and India together in the Currency Union map. Nepal and India do not use the same currency: India uses Indian Rupees, Nepal uses Nepali Rupees. They have always had a constant exchange rate, but still are different currencies.

It's cricketer, not cricketeer. Story behind it: Sport used to be the preserve of "gentlemen" which was code for the upper class. Professional players were hired to pad out teams, but they were considered lower class on a par with the servants, were addressed by their last names (like servants), had to enter the field by a separate gate (or after the gentlemen if there was only one gate) and in team photographs they had to keep their distance from the gentlemen. When professionalism was fully embraced and the distinction between "players" and "gentlemen" eroded, the more inclusive term "cricketer" was adopted.
These "geography more" videos are very interesting, but the problem is that you will need much longer now to finish with all countries. I think it would be much better if you covered all sovereign countries first and then do some "geography more" videos.
+moddafukaaah ka since these have little editing, I think they don't take the time of the main videos in production. I think its good to do those little videos to keep the audience interested while he finishes the main series
Just a suggestion. When speaking about a country it'd be cool if you played their national anthem un the background. Idk if you're already doing this but if not I just think it'd be kind of cool.
Actually they don't talk catalan in Valencia and in the Balearic Islands, they speak valencian (I don't know how it's called in English), it was originally a dialect of catalan but it is now considered a different language. Some people even consider balearic an other different language

+Jake Doubleyou But Andora and Andorra, though different wrote, they sound the same. So he would have like no problem pronouncing that name.

Hi Barby, I've just got an idea for when you reach the USA in like 1.7billion years. Since the US is so large and there is a lot to speak about can u split the country into episodes like the friend zone, physical geography, political etc. into different videos?
Love the new haircut

You forget about cape verde landmarks , the government, tourism , war , animals and food
Why does it take 5000 years for new videos to come out?
+f1images for every 2 hours of work put in there is probably about 1 minutes worth of footage.

What's taking so long for your next episode?
Will you do a collaboration video with Cody from Geographyhub?
Also to add that Antigua and Barbados is actually part of the West Indies when it comes to playing cricket, in addition to other countries such as Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, and many Caribbean Islands. I'm sardinian!
Antigua and Bermuda participates in cricket world cup but not as a single country. cricket is very famous in Caribbean countries so they participate as one country called West Indies.

Can you keep doing Geography More in 2018?
Thumbs up for pronouncing страны социалистической ориентации! :D
