I remember watching this back in the day, how unrealistic Greg abandoning Sam to work away from the Bay just after them loosing Bobby. Obviously this was due to Greg being written out after Bobby's death but not very accurate .
Greg was always a bit shallow I thought but I agree, this was unrealistic. Greg leaving so soon after Bobby's death makes the way she was written out even sillier. They should've just had them move away with Sam.
@crevrath7374 I don't think it's that weird as Greg needed to provide for Sam and would have paid Donald rent, food etc. for Sam. Yes, Bobby had died recently but bills do not pay themselves. And maybe the writers just felt the Greg character had simply ran it's course. Sam was on the show for a decade but Greg only for a few years. Clearly, the producers wanted Sam to be in the main foster house with Michael, Pippa and Sally and Greg would have been in the way of that if he stayed.
He was an absolutely terrible human being and one of the show's worst characters. -First he was nasty towards boarders including Sarah and Tug. -Then he cheated on Bobby with Fiona (can't remember if they slept together but they certainly did everything else) -He left Sam in Summer Bay to pursue his own career -He rocks up randomly in 2000 to try to take Sam back, angering Donald Fisher and for good reason -Greg was also responsible for Sam's ultimate downfall in the early 2000s, due to no biological parents
Why didn’t they just let Bobby, Greg and Sam move away rather than kill off Bobby? Was it because they wanted that annoying kid Sam to stay in the bay? Waste of killing a great character off like Bobby. She could have come back in a few years if the actress wanted to.
It’s a program that is centred around the young, but rather a lot of people died in this film, and it was unrealistic Greg leaving, and everyone being ok with it. Sam was his responsibility. But this isn’t fictional, this type of thing happens all the time.
Nicolle wanted to quit to be a mum to her boys, so Bobby bites the dust and a character like her was a one-off so going out like she did protected her legacy. Ryan (Sam) was still young and didn't get itch feet until 17/18 when he decided to be a lifeguard.
@@Hulk2k6 they could have just written her out instead of killing her off. She was killed because they wanted to keep that stupid kid who couldn’t act. It’s just not fair that a legendary character died because of some rubbish child actor.
