I have the Dyson. I love it. Has been so good for my hair. It has a cool shot that helps to set the curl. I haven't used my flat iron for two years. But I'm glad there are less expensive alternatives. But my Dyson is worth every penny.
I have a blow dryer that releases a cool shot. My damn hair sucks! It still won't hold a Curl 😭

I have the dyson and I absolutely love it. I dont regret buying it at all. Yes it is expensive but in my opinion it was worth every dollar. I bought the wrap a few months ago and my husband got me the dryer for Christmas. I love it.
I just recently got this item and On Sale for about $11. I love the brush attachments for blow drying my hair when I wear it straight.🙂 Temu has been great.

My daughter's husband gave her the other dupe...Shark. He paid under 300 at Costco or Amazon (I don't remember). She loves it and I've tried it...and it's awesome for less money. Watch for sales. However, I'll be buying one from Temu!!

I think you are supposed to leave your hair slightly damp when you use the curler attachments, it will help hold the curl better. I have the same problem with my hair not holding curl, especially if it's freshly washed and blow dried. Maybe a texture spray or something like that would help also. I know my hair always holds curl a little better when it's like a day after washing and it has a little texture to it. This looks like it's def worth the $25 for sure. Thanks Yari!

Totally worth it! What a great Dyson dupe! I don’t think it would work on my thick layers of curly hair, but I cannot afford the Dyson. Heck no! I still use a blow dryer & round brush to blowout my curls in sections. Then I have to go in w/a flat iron. To get it really silky straight. I wish I knew how to curl it “big curls” w/the flat iron. Maybe u could do a flat iron tutorial on how to do big curls? I can never figure it out. Ty Yari. Yr hair turned out amazing! That dupe works amazing on u! N what a great deal! I would grab it! ❤

I’d recommend hot rollers. Very affordable, and less damaging to hair than most hot tools, as it is more ‘low and slow’ (lower heat than a curling iron, just have to leave them on for longer. But you can do something else while you wait for them to cool!).
Rollers that are 1.5” are great for lots of volume and big curls. 1” is a nice option too, tighter curls but you can always brush them out more. I recommend youtube videos to see what the different size rollers make the hair look like. Plus I love the ‘old school glam’ feeling rollers give you! Good luck!

I love temuI love the actual Revlon to point o that I have one I actually I love my red line the first one because it’s not as bulky but it’s also a hairdryer like all you have to do is take the clip off and use the part where the air comes out to dry your hair it’s like awesome cause you know how sometimes you can’t get your roots. I love my Dry Bar hot tools. They aren’t exactly cheap, but not Dyson expensive either. I travel with them a lot and use them quite a bit. 😊

hey girl it looks great on you I know when I use any type of blow dryer like this like my Revlon I use my hair texture spray because my hair is so straight and smooth that if I wanna do curls it works the best and then if I take the attachments off completely it works as a blow dryer so I blow dry my hair 80% with that with no attachments and then I used the curling Iron or use my other dupe kind of that I have that’s like a Dyson air wrap type Attachment curling part when my hair is 80% dry because when your curling it is still drying and then if you hold it longer if it doesn’t get that hot it should hold especially with like maybe texture spray like dry ones or even just a light a hold of hairspray. I know you were just trying to see how it worked on its own which I think I did pretty great for $25 that’s awesome I’m definitely I in this one out for sure

If yours and your husbands hair are both having such issues, switch the products you are using to ones without parabens, paraffin, sulfates. Also, add a detox process to clarify your hair on a weekly or biweekly basis. It can be a cheap and easy fix.
You need to use a clarifying product to remove residue from silicone and build up of other ingredients and waxes from whatever products you have been using.
Hair can feel waxy for a number of reasons, including heavy ingredients, infrequent washing, hard water, and/or improper rinsing. Products containing Silicone can build up on the hair and be difficult to get rid of.
Use a pre-shampoo scrub, which you can buy or just use simple baking soda, is a great one. Mix into a paste by blending with water and use as a scrub for your scalp and hair. Allow to sit on the hair for a few minutes then rinse.
Also, as a final rinse after shampoo and conditioner is half and half solution of apple cider vinegar. It’ll make your hair extra soft :)
Bonus is the baking soda and acv will both work to combat fungus that causes dandruff! But only do this once a week.
Then use a good quality clarifying cleanser / shampoo and complementary conditioner.
If you eat rice, save off the water you use to soak the rice to use as a hair conditioner; it’ll make your hair stronger and healthier. It works best if the rice soaks in water overnight before you drain it off.
I find it’s easiest to add it into an old empty shampoo/ conditioner that’s marked as rice water.
Your husband will benefit from this too.
If y’all need conditioning oils, try coconut or castor, or a blend of both. They both strengthen, fight the dandruff fungus, help your hair be shiny, and encourage growth. Use as an overnight treatment with your hair covered in a shower cap to protect the pillow, once a week or two.
Use smaller sections to curl at about 80% dry, may work better

I literally got it for free with two other purchases and so far I've gotten some nice results. Its very loud like a vacuum but with some hair product you can get the same results a $600 Dyson gives.

I’m not sure if anybody else recommended this yet, but I have the Dyson air wrap and the only way I can get it to hold my curls is to pin the curls up as soon as I create them with like those little alligator clips like those little cheap metal clips that hairdressers use, when they’re pinning curls during an updo but anyway, if you pin curls for 30 minutes to an hour, and let them fully cool, and then release the curls from the clips. Your hair will stay curled. I have really long thick hair and I had the same issue with mine and until I did that the curls never stayed.

The Dyson does not damage hair as much as dupes. Dupes tend to get more hot
Hi YARI, because my hair is not thick bark for me the way it works for you and if I had to curl it I would use my curling iron that I have.. I wouldn't pay $500 for the Dyson one unless someone bought it

How cool If it was me I would have spent the $500 to find out why but if it wasn't What I expected I would have returned that so I think in your case it would have been totally worth it because the curiosity would have gotten to me. Since you have not been using conditioner I know my mother does not do conditioner either but I want To tell you that you should try a cleansing conditioner because it gets it all-in-one and it's really just a shampoo that really doesn't condition your hair much but you may love it my mother really does.

Yes any of the blow dryer that I’ve ever seen that were like this they always say wait 80% of your hair to dry if you want to blow dry your hair because it can damage and it holds curls better is u so blow dry 80 percent also I seen other people use what she used for blow drying her hair to put the hair their hair through the actual slot thingy like theAnd they would actually get smoother results because it’s like a smoothing tool apparently I don’t know if this exact attachment she has is for smoothie or what not but I mean it could work the same I wouldn’t want her to damage her hair though
From my understanding the hair is supposed to be alittle wet when curling it
There’s one called the shark hair dressers are saying it’s just as good as the original and it’s only 299 I think so it’s cheaper and this is in Canada so for u in us it would’ve cheaper

Mine and my daughters hair holds water hair dresser uses the real one on is it took 35 minutes to dry my hair hahaha so this I don’t think it would work

Omg! This was my exact logic with the dryer that looks like a vacuum cleaner. The people who tell us to buy it RARELY use it again in other videos. So you spent almost $500 on this product, but you only use the $50 blowdryer thereafter?

Dyson recommends 80% damp so the wand can suck your hair and Curl it. This dupe was not sucking my super thin hair without help so I figured brushing through it would be fine. Plus if my hair didn't hold a Curl with it being dry and all, it definitely was not going to hold a Curl with it 80% damp. Unfortunately, my hair is very stubborn.

Was this enough for you to get the Dyson? Let me tell you what, I went and got my haircut today in my town and she had one of the Dyson air wraps and used it on my hair and I was freaking blown away which is how I ended up on this video because I'm looking for something comparable but I don't know if this will be it but I'm going to have to message her and ask her if she knows if anything comparable cuz I'm going to tell you, the Dyson is amazing! But at now 700 on Amazon , it'll never happen for me but a girl can dream 😆😩

I just don't pay this amount of money for anything that has a cheaper way to do wwhat I need. No iphone when my $200 Moto G32 does everything I need (and more). No Dyson as my $50 tools do the same (and are less noise).

and that is what i was afraid of. My hair is really stubborn. I didnt want to dish out the money and find out my hair still wont hold a curl with that also. my hair only holds a curl with my remington flat iron at 380f.! im trying to stop curling it so i dont damage it.
Do you have to put your hair in your mouth would it not have been better to clip your hair in sections
This dupe is terrible. Smells like fire and it blows really hot air and hot air comes out of the 3 way setting. Hair does not stay on the curling attachment. I give it a -10
