Maize Meal is an offering. You’re more than welcome to use an offering of your choice. The same applies with the alcohol. You don’t have to strictly use spirits. Sometimes you can add the items that you know your ancestors enjoyed. There aren’t any strict limitations on ukupahla. The video above is simply a general guide 😊
@@thingomthombeni2633 yah, I'm trying to dig deeper here in the comments section.. So that the lesson is 100% clear. I think that what works best is what idlozi liked when they were alive. Depending on who the dlozi was, maize meal wouldn't be ideal. I'm not an extremist but we need to conscientize everyone so that they're aware that maize meal is not a South African meal and we're not adapted to eat and digest it optimally. Pap and other foreign meals have been falsely assimilated into SA culture and I feel that it's a big disservice to the native SAns who can trace African roots to pre-1654.
