- We took a short break from moving in our new home to Millersburg, OH. This is a very small sampling of what there is to do in Millersburg. It is an area where some of the Amish live here in Holmes County, OH. Not far from our new home, it is a beautiful place to visit. We love it here and you should visit soon. There is so much more to see.

There are so many great little towns over that way. It’s a great place to go exploring. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching. I’m sure you have been all around.
One of my favorite places in the country. I love Holmes county. I have been there a few times on motorcycle trips.
It is pretty amazing. We've been several times. We will take more time in the future.
We stayed at the Berlin Hotel...stayed 4 days and didn't want to go back home to Toledo ohio...Had a Wonderful time and feeling much closer to our lord and Savior Jesus Christ...Amen
Yes it is beautiful and we know what you mean. Thanks so much for your comment. You should come back. Deana
We just got back!!! All lives matter down there...Best Vacation in years!!
what do you mean by 'all lives matter'? that suggests it might be racist. is it safe for black visitors? i'll be coming from the UK.
Grew up in Millersburg! So many great memories! You did a great review of it and surrounding area. One of the shops you showed is owned by my relative!
That’s awesome. Thanks so much and thanks for watching!!

Thx much for watching!!
I had a dream last year that me and my partner relocated from the uk we bought a house in millersburg OH, our house was on elm street I thought maybe it was a mix of thoughts of the film Freddy Krueger and the fact I had been watching videos about the Amish in Ohio mixing together in my dream, I was absolutely gobsmacked when I went onto Google earth and seen there was an actual elm street in millersburg although the houses didn’t look like what we had bought in my dream , the street name and the town were correct . Blew my mind I had never even heard of millersburg I now can’t get that place out my head. The area is absolutely gorgeous
It is beautiful. You should come visit us here in OHIO.
@@TheBestofUSTheFloros oh I would love too, maybe one day
Thanks for the video. You need to work on the narration audio in that one part.....can't hear it.
I reviewed it and heard all voiceovers perfectly. Thanks so much though.
I've lived in Holmes county my whole life.
It’s an incredible place. We love going. Thanks for watching..
My grandfather. Samuel Hooley was from up there. My father was born up near there.
My family is Amish and
I very much want to know where I came from (my maternal family are the Imfamous McCoy family in eastern ky) and understand the faith of my family elders.
My sister told me that our family is all buried up outside of Bellfountaine at the Hooley cemetery
If you have questions of the area we would love to bring clarity. Duane has traveled all over the state with his job and he will be glad to give insight.Ohio is so beautiful and packed full of all kinds of history. Thanks so much for watching.
@@TheBestofUSTheFloros I would like to go up there sometime soon.
My family lineage goes like this: Yohann Hooley came from Scandinavia (this is according to my sister) Yohann begat David who begat Jedediah who begat Samuel who begat Raymond. They all lived up there. Growing up my dad told me he was born + raised in Quincy Ohio
@@TheBestofUSTheFloros how can I learn more about the Amish religion?
@@marciathehooligan3861 Good question. I found this channel a couple of months ago and I would recommend it highly. The documentary was done from an ex Amish man. th-cam.com/video/aaHIEZkeTF4/w-d-xo.html
This is literally where I live. It’s so weird seeing my own town on TH-cam.
Edit: Oh, and the clock tower. They’ve been reworking that thing for months now.
We aren’t far from you. Thanks for watching. We love it there!!
Come watch and see just a small section of Amish country. It is truly worth a visit. If you haven’t subscribed please do so and join our community. So much more to see and we will capture more when we have more dedicated time. Enjoy.
Is there an Amish community with a town where people can shop that ISN'T a tourist trap? I was wanting to move to the Berlin area to get AWAY from modern society. But I see the Amish there are just as in love with the mammon as everyone else. Really tragic. I'm not saying they shouldn't have a business but PROMOTING outsiders to come and creating RV parks? No, no, no!
Yes there are plenty of areas to move and not be near the tourists. We ourselves live about an hour from there. The Amish have been able to profit from the tourism and it helps being close to their farms. There aren great many who don’t participate in sales. Thanks for watching.
My name is Dwayne and my wife’s name is Dena. We are going to Holmes county on 7/20/24. Thanks for your review!
Same names but spelled differently. So fun. Hope you enjoyed your trip!
